So we just bought a 2023 Lincoln Aviator. It has the Perma Plate protection inside and out, supposedly. They also told me it was a “ceramic coating” which in my opinion was a lie because it only took them about 30 minutes to apply it. I believe it’s more of a paint sealant. My question would be what is it most comparable to and what would be best to wash/coat it with, or should I strip it back off, clay bar, polish and apply something else? Also, the back stays dirty. I went against everything I know and took it through a car wash because it was so filthy and didn’t have time for two bucket wash. By the time we got home it looked like it hadn’t even been washed! It was about 20 miles of city and highway from car wash to home.
