Hi all! Bird poop etch on hood of a 2016 Toyota Prius. I don't know what to do about it.

You can try using a clay bar and/or compound/polish to make it look better, but it will probably not come out.  If you have the money for a repaint of the hood you can try sanding the areas, knowing that if you go thru the clear and into the paint, you already planned for the repaint.  

The base coat/clear coat in modern cars is very thin, and and even light sanding can go thru the clear coat and into the color (ask me how I know!).

In my opinion that looks pretty etched and will need at least to be sanded, if not repainted. As @mc2hill said most modern cars have 1-2mil of clear coat but bird droppings are nasty and acidic so can cut through it pretty quickly, risking what could otherwise be relatively safe measures to fix it.
