PICS!

Dinner was really great, but the best part was the company!

I will TRY and identify everyone, but post up if I miss you or get it wrong.

I need help here. I know the lovely lady's name is Betsy, and her husband Rich C on her left.

The clinic was great. We started out in the front, but had to move to the back of the dealership. Too much highway noise. A good decision.

All together there were 80 - 90 people there! A great turnout! Perfect weather!

And like the Pied Piper, Adam led everyone around back for the demonstration.

After Adam's demo, little detail clinics broke out:

Grabiak's generously provided everyone with donuts, hot dogs, chips, roast beef sandwiches and drinks. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

And when it was almost over, there wasn't a whole lot left on the shelves to pick from!

Rich the two guys that you couldn't identify at dinner was me Tom McDuffee (McDuff) in the red shirt and Al (ALF01) in the black shirt by Betsy. I had a great time at dinner and the clinic. It was really cool meeting Adam and talking with him. The weather was fantastic for April in the Midwest. Thank You to everyone that put on the clinic and the free food. The facility sure fooled me just looking at it from the street. There were some great cars there too.

I thought that's who you both were, but wasn't sure and didn't want to get you guys mixed up. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Now I'll know next time. It was great meeting everyone I did. Sorry I didn't get to meet some of you guys.

Kinldy allow me to add my thanks to Adam for his generosity - both at dinner and with his time; as well as to my "roomie" Steve, who was also a great source of information.

Also many thanks to Ray and all at Grabiak Chevrolet....great job of hosting!

I had an incredible time, it was great to meet everyone....and - as I stated before dinner - great to hang out with "kindred spirits" who understand my fear of parking my car next to a minivan!!

A special thanks to the officers at the "Sobriety Checkpoint" who, after verifying I was sober and realizing I had become separated from the "caravan" to the hotel; told me to "drive very slowly past the other officers, then do what you need to do to catch up to your group"!!!

Looking forward to continuing conversations with many of you!!

Hope everyone made it home safe.

Best,

Al ("ALF01")

ADAMS ROCKS!!!!

Wow, what a terrific event and a good time for all that attended. I'd like to echo the comments over everyone else and note how great it was to meet Tom, Rich, Chris, Al, Richard, Ray, Rad, Mark, Steve, and everyone else and their spouses and in some cases great kids. And it goes without saying out appreciation for Adam and his generosity is even greater now. :2thumbs:

Here are some pics that I took:

Look at that shine... this is after clay, a few passes of S&H, FMP (I think) and some of the new paste wax. The chrome wheel was done with BSG.

A guest checks out the results.

Ever seen the engine in a high-end Lexus sedan? Neither have we. :D

Chris (Chris05GTO) got recruited to give a hand polishing demo.

Adam's cross country rig reflects the event

ohhhhhh.... the good stuff!!!

IMG_1375.jpg

Grabiak is an amazing place... looks like your typical Chevy dealership from the street, but it's a toy store on the inside.

IMG_1342.jpg

I believe that when Adam drifts off to sleep at night, his dreams look a lot like this:

IMG_1349.jpg

And someday soon his kids will look just like this:

IMG_1348.jpg

Out in the lot, ALF01 and MarylandVette's cars whispered quietly to each other. The ZO6 spoke of how good it feels to have a perfect finish (3600 miles) and the 99 spoke of how nice it was to have been places. (54K miles including 3K mile road trips) :D

Nice pics and nice write up Rich! Couldn't have had a better weekend.

Hey Al! Where's all those pics you took?

Hi Rich!

Short story...I'll try and get them up tomorrow!

Long story: I'm still cleaning my car..got home about 5:00 yesterday and the bride wanted to make 5:30 Mass, then out to dinner - it was one of our few "kids-free nights" every year....

Started on the car at about 9:30 this morning, pretty much done with the exterior now about 12:45...gonna take a lunch break, then on to the inside and a drive.

I'll download the pics from my camera either tonite or tomorrow and get some posted....

Yet again...what an incredible time meeting everyone...my wife could barely get a word in edgewise at dinner 'cause the event was all I could talk about....then the sangria kicked in and things got worse!

You guys know how the cycle goes....Clean...Drive...Clean...Drive...Clean

:lolsmack:
