Question

So, what is the difference between the new waterless car wash and the detail spray?

I keep my car indoors and after using a California Duster ever other day on it, when I do take the car out, I use a quick coat of detail spray on it. Is the waterless car wash better to use on it?

Thanks!

my understanding is that using the car duster will help scratch your clear coat. the waterless car wash has more lubricants in it then the detail spray so instead of using the duster use the waterless car wash and then the detail spray occasionally. that should help keep the scratches in the clear coat to a minimum.

The waterless wash has more lubricity and special attributes that allow it to encapsulate the dirt so as not to introduce new scratches and swirls as you wipe. Additionally it doesn't leave anything behind so there is no potential for buildup. With detail spray trace amounts of gloss enhancing product are left behind... over time these will build up if not washed away and cause cloudiness in the finish.

While theres nothing inherently wrong with using the duster (as long as its used properly) the waterless wash would still be the safer way to remove surface dust from your car.

I have the same situation as above, I have seen the blotches from continued detail spray use. I went two years and never washed the mustang once. Ny waterless wash should be delivered today. Looking foward to it.:2thumbs:

You need the waffle weave towel. I used my new WCW today and tried it with both towels, the waffle weave works much better.

By the way this is a great product once again from Adams  I will be using it alot between washed and to help keep my DD lookin good.
