694doorbird
My '69 Thunderbird. It's in need of a clay bar, so it's going to get that. Since it still has it's original paint, what do I need to do after the clay? I do know it will shine, just doesn't have the clear coat. I will be doing the detail by hand. 0 Bill-V8V
Watch this video http://www.adamspolishes.com/t-Videos_DVD5_18.aspx But if you are going to clay you should really get a PC to get the maximum benefits of the products. Plus it is much easier on the rotator cuffs :D
0 Guest Chuck A
Nice car! The '69 T-Bird four door styling is such a classic design. I'd love to see some more pictures of your car if you can post them, especially one with the doors open showing the suicide rear door! Good luck with your detail. Watched the video, looks like swirl & Haze remover, Revive Polish followed by the Buttery wax. It will be done hand. Nice car! The '69 T-Bird four door styling is such a classic design. I wouldn't sweat it... you'll get great results out of the products by hand as well.
0 BlueXfire
Nice T-bird. I have a 63 Coupe under restoration right now. One of these days I'll be polishing it up with my Adam's stuff, but it might be a few years from now.

0 694doorbird
Ok, so the T-Bird sit more than it drives and I like the paint to have some shiny depth to it, the question is. Which wax would be better: The Americana or the Buttery? It's always garaged but not covered. This way when I want to get it out, I don't have to worry about the cover. I'm planning on taking it to our local car show next May.

You really can't go wrong with either, but I wold use Americana and top it with BSG before a show

0 Bill-V8V
I just went out and but a coat of BSG on my truck to show you what it can do, I washed and put Americana on it about a week ago so I just gave it a Waterless Wash first, i think you'll be happy with that combination I wonder why my neighbor (green house) has her front light on during the middle of the day  Edited September 2, 2009 by C6Bill
