Tail light lens correction

Toms94

Question

Well, I've had issues for some time with the tail lights on my 99 Silverado. After reading here about many cleaning up their headlights I thought I'd give it a try on the tail lights. I thought, initially that using the 4" pads on the PC was the smart thing, but after reading many posts, I decided to go the portable drill route. Well, I'm here to say that, the drill is way more effective. I had tried the PC and 4" pads on my daughters van headlights to no avail. All I seemed to do was tear up the pad a bit (little pokey things on the lens, see picture). Anyway here are the before and after pictures.

The dullness around the edges of the lens is now gone. It is still somewhat textured, but at least it is now back to a more red color.
