Hi guys i am a new member to the forum and recently purchased a PC after watching junk mans very detailed videos. The PC worked wonders on my Panther Black Metallic G8 which came from the dealer with a TON of swirl marks and scratches that drove me crazy.
The car now looks fantastic but the problem i am having is with what appears to be water spots on the hood and trunk. under street lights and over head gas station fluorescent lights when looking at the hood or trunk at an angle you can see what looks like dots in the paint. i never seen them before until i fully detailed and corrected the paint. i guess they just blended in with the rest of the containments and since those are gone these are more noticeable. you can not feel them even when using junk mans snadwhich bag trick:D
so on a test spot i attempted to try and remove them by claying and using the Adams yellow pad with Swirl haze remover and PC on 6. NO LUCK i was still able to see them under the florescent lights in my garage.
i found a picture on another forum of my particular problem and they identified this as "type 1 and type 2 water spots". It was recommended to use a product called "scratchX" (which i have) to remove them by hand. However i dont think it is going to work since the most agressive pad with Swirl and haze remover on the PC didnt seem to do anything to help.
My friend owns a body shop and offered to wet sand them out for me but i would rather not do that if i there is method or product to correct this.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?
BTW just incase you guys are wondering what steps i took when detailing here they are.
i washed the entire car with dawn dish soap to remove the old wax
