0 Superdutytd
Machine Superwax will last the longest. But there are rumors that 2 coats of Americana will last the same amount of time.
0 tjcin
Thanks for the replies. I just used Buttery Wax, so I know it is for hand application. Can Americana be put on or removed with a PC? Since I now have the machine, I'm just looking to save some time.

I would stick to hand waxing with Americana.

0 Kornercarver
Americana is very easy to apply with a PC. Just use a spatula (butter knife) to apply the wax to the PC pad. Use it sparingly because a little goes a long way. Wax a section at a time and remove it with a microfiber towel.
0 Chewy
It's so easy to apply a coat of APW by hand that I see no reason to use a PC unless you're doing an RV or large boat with it. APW doesn't need to be worked into the finish. It's really just a coating so straight back and forth motions are the way to go IMO. My plan before winter is a coat of MSW, and a coat or two of Americana over that. Lets see if it happens though. CRAP it's cold out! Chris

0 70'sChevyGirl
Americana is so easy to use that doing it by hand just makes me feel like I worked a little harder even though I know that I didn't.
0 tjcin
Wow, that was your 4000th post ChevyGirl, pretty impressive. Looks like the overall consensus is to use Americana. I'll have to give it a try. Thanks

0 GerryC
I put a coat of MSW on my DD yesterday in preparation for winter. Hopefully we'll have one more day of good enough weather to put on a second coat.

0 Superdutytd
Hey TJCIN where did you say you were from? That would also make a difference in what type of Wax you would use. I really like to use MSW on daily drivers. It really works great, even if they are garage kept.

MSW is a great base of protection for daily drivers, especially ones that look like this during winter:
