airhog
Is it neccasary to put on undercariage spray on the wheel wells to protect it for the winter if there is factory undecoating put on?
0 mc2hill
It may add a little protection, but mostly it just makes them black again. It will disappear after it gets wet a few times, but it makes the wheel wells look much better after a detail.
0 Team Adam's
Its not so much protective as it helps keep stuff from bonding to the inner wheel wells. Think of it like spraying pam on your skillet before cooking. The IUCS will leave a barrier between the fender and the junk that'll inevitably get flung up in there during winter driving. I treated my TBSS to some IUCS after the last wash and when the recent rain storms hit my inner fenders were pretty gunky looking. A strong blast with a hose and all the crud that had built up in there was gone.
0 Rich
Can't hurt. I usually add UCS to my wells every time I wash or spray off the car.

0 airhog
Thanks I will get some Undercariage Spray and spray it on for the winter. How long will it generally last?
0 Adam
Hey Adam, this stuff lasts thorough about 250 miles of rain driving, or, until you use All Purpose Cleaner to remove it. I typically do the wheel wells of my driver every third wash. Try it, you'll like it!
