694doorbird
Should I keep the BSG off the vinyl strips on the sides of our car? I've been treating them with VRT. I like the way the VRT makes them a deep rich black against the red.
0 NightMare Silverado
I've been told to put any kind of spray way on a mf towell so you don't get it on vinyl.
0 694doorbird
That's what I sort of thinking. When I used the BSG the other night, I used the microfiber applicator and kept it about 1/4" away from the stripes. That way when I wiped it off, I stayed off the stripes. Just out of curiosity, what does the wax do to vinyl?
0 NightMare Silverado
their was a member(chargerforums) who waxed their vinyl and it got in all the pits/pore's covering it in lil white specks. Ive got spray wax(not adams) on my vinyl before and it dident leave any marks but I wouldn't do it on purpose. The issue may be more prevalent in past wax tho. 0 JJ1o87
See idk about those vinyl stripes, but the vinyl hood stripes on my car I treat as if it were regular paint (wax, polish, whole shabang) and have no ill effects. Those are ridergraphix stripes right?
0 Rich
I have red vinyl stripes on the hood of my black, and don't treat them any way special at all. Whatever I do to the rest of the car, I do to the stripes too.

Those are ridergraphix stripes right? No they're not from Ridergraphics. We had them done at a local shop in Tulsa that does a lot of work for the local Dodge and Ford dealers. Thanks all for the input. Next time I wax, I might try doing them at the same time, but I do like the look of VRT on them. However, they do get taped off for claying. 0 NightMare Silverado
I used the shr/revive/buttery over my vinyl from rider today and no ill effects.
