Car wash: Automated vs. Hand vs. Coin-Op

No question about it.

 

As an city dweller, I have to use the self-wash bays at the automated car wash down the street where I hand soap the car while the wife uses the sprayer without pulling the trigger.

 

I'm throwing my water blade away.

Yeah I got rid of mine after I corrected it and saw a bunch of straight line scratches in it... :banned:

The blade itself isn't a bad product, its just the potential for damage it creates. If you can be 150% positive that your paint has absolutely NO grit anywhere on it they can be used safely, but its so hard to do that in an uncontrolled environment like a garage or driveway that its best not to set yourself up to fail.

 

I do have one, but I just use it to knock water off of the glass and my tonneau cover since its textured plastic and it doesn't need a delicate touch.

Thanks, and good to know. I'll stick with windshield and backlight use only.

Now, if it would just quit makin' that awful sound... :eek:
