Am I missing something or ....

Question

Is there another way of doing the polishing steps. I have been using SHR and following it with FMP, but I see some people use SHR and follow it with Revive Polish. Is my way better or there way just wondering I know you can do it may ways.

I was going to try SHR, then FMP, and follow that with Revive. Just wondering if Revive was better following SHR, than FMP.

Hope this make since.

I have never tried this but some members claim if they put BSG before wax it hides some imperfections.:xfingers:

Some glazes are intended to go under wax, but the problem with that is that it degrades the durability of the wax. BSG is no different in this case.

Think of it as the foundation of the house, if you build your house on sand (BSG) it won't be very stable, but if you build it on concrete (MSW) it will be very stable. I experimented with BSG under Americana and got some pretty bad results, including the wax barely making it thru a few washes. I'd suggest limiting BSG to a final stage LSP over the top of your wax or sealant coat.

I either use FMP or Revive.

If using PC I always use FMP & White Pad.

If doing by hand I always use Revive.

These steps are after SHR by hand or by PC!

Hope this helps!:2thumbs:

I used the SHR, Revive and Buttery with the PC and worked great with excellent shine.:glasses:

so Revive took out the fine micro swirls left by SHR, and I guess you used the white pad with Revive. Only reason I am asking I love the way Revive makes my paint pop, I have Galaxy Black paint and it makes the flake in the paint really stand out.

Jason,

That's the process I use (when I have time), SHR, FMP, Revive, then Americana, a little more work, but the results are beautiful. Of course the other methods, using either FMP or Revive also work, and save a little time.

Thanks Bruce,

I haven't talked to you in a while hope you are doing well, somewhere in that process you can use BSG, I am guessing before the wax. I hear BSG will mask some of the imperfections that might be left is there any truth to that.
