Holy cow! Just went out and measured the snow. It is midnight Feb. 6, 2010. No signs of it letting up anytime soon.

Good morning! Well, the news is saying this is the biggest snowstorm since 1950! Haven't been out yet for pics, but the whole bottom panel of my garage door is covered and that's even under a roof. Everything, including mail delivery is closed. Nobody is on the streets. And it's still snowing. Unbelievable. I can't even describe the amount of snow. I'll be out with the snowblower probably all day till I can even get my driveway done plus help out the neighbors.

Later.

Were at about 24 inches here. I just went out and shoveled a path from the front door to the street, but I'm not bothering to clear the cars yet. They saying we will

get another 5 to 10 before it's all over. Ill post pics if the power ever comes back on.

Here are some pics from Elizabethtown. I have not measured it but we are somewhere between 14 and 18 inches, and they say another 8 is coming Tuesday night. It took me about an hour to dig the G8 out.

I was looking at snow walls out my window when I backed the car out of its spot.

We ended up with about 30 inches. I got my wife's car mostly dug out but didn't want to touch the Jetta. (Which you can see under the vaguely jetta-shaped pile of snow in this pic). I put out the Adam's bucket so you'd have some perspective. The snow on top of the car is literally higher than the upper edge of the garage door.

Here I am standing next to the car. By the way, I'm 6'2":

Man Rich you have a mess! :( Good luck ,don't over do it!

Thanks Chris! Yes, I'm inside and relaxing now. The snow seems to have stopped and I'm not doing anything else on my driveway until the plows come through.

Tomorrow AM I'm going over to my neighbors to do their driveway -- they're in their late 70s/early 80s and the kindest people you'll ever meet. Gotta love having great neighbors. :2thumbs:
