1968 dash pad, minor crack

I have a 1968 Chevy Nova with the original black dash pad, perfect except for about 1" long very minor crack on the top face. You have to look close to even notice it, you can't even put a finger nail in it, but it's there.

 

So, as it is an original I want to do something to stop it from getting worse. Sorry Photobucket problems, so no pic.

 

Is there anything like a dab of repair that would seal it? Suggestions. Tks.
