Clay bar question

Bart430

Question

I was wondering if you can use waterless car wash instead of detail spray with the clay bar? From everything I read WCW is slicker than detail spray. Wouldnt this make claying easier? Also WCW is a bit cheaper.

I have never clayed any car I have owned. Just got a new car and did the plastic bag trick, didnt seem to need it. But the wifes car needs it.

I normally use DS however I have used WCW as a lube. The slicker WCW might not be as effective as DS.You need a little drag without sticking for the clay to do its job.If you use the WCW as a lube and you pass the baggie test it won't hurt a thing!I hope this makes sense.
