Windshield microfiber pads

My wife bought me one of "As seen on T.V" windshield cleaning pads. It wii be a big help in doing the windshield on her Charger. The instructions say to spray it with water. However, would I be correct in assuming I'd be better off spraying the pad with the glass cleaner?

I have one and I was shocked at how good it worked with just a sprits of water. Try it first and see if you like it. I have another pad that I used the cleaner and I actually went back to the one with water on the inside.

Thanks for the info. I'll try it both ways to see which I like better.
