I actually went and saw Bob Dylan live awhile ago... not a huge fan of his music but I've always been a fan of live shows. Even if you're not a fan of the artist its always great to get out and see a real PERFORMANCE.

(Bob Dylan is part of the reason my parents chose my name... **** hippies! :D )

That is interesting, I saw Bob last year.:2thumbs: I probably seen him about 5 different times! Cool!

In my garage I put XM on First Wave. It cracks me up I'm so old there is "Classic New Wave". Great bands though, like KROQ played back when it was good, even has Richard Blade & Swedish Egil for DJ's.

You know you're getting old when you don't recognize half of these bands that were named. However, working on the car my ipod is filled with Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Clapton, etc.......

Who? Those guys must be ancient.

I listen to a little bit of everything, except for Rap. I cannot stand most of the Hip Hop stuff.

I usually start with something mellow like Joe Walsh's "In the City".

Listen to plenty of Classic Rock in between.

I like to finish with something with somewhat of a "HUMPH!". Like Daddy Yankee's "Impacto" - Yes, that's Fergie ; )

Half??????? Heck I don't recognize ANY of them.

However, depending on my mood, I can do

Blues - B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Chuck Berry, John Lee Hooker.

Classic Country - Patsy Cline, Ernest Tubb, Hank Sr., Flatt & Scruggs.

Modern Country - Alabama, Brooks & Dunn, Confederate Railroad, Lonestar, Lady Antebellum.

Easy Listening - Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Tony Bennett,

Folk - Simon & Garfunkel, Peater, Paull & Mary.

Gospel - Elvis (Yes he sang religious songs.)

Jazz - Bernie Williams, David Benoit, Joe Mc Bride (The guy that did the theme music for the Sopranos)

Also have some Classical, Pop, R&B, Show Tunes and yes "Classic Rock."

But my "classic rock" is from the 50's & 60's. Platters, Beatles, Beach Boys.:banana::rockon::rockon::party:

I had a set of Becker Speakers I've had since College (late 70's/early 80's) rebuilt and have hung them from the Garage Ceiling, connected to the Stereo in the Family Room in front of the Garage. I'll play Music Choice from the Cable, it's like Sirius/XM.

Normally Classic Rock: Late 60's through the Mid/Late 70's

If I need to slow down a bit;

Solid Gold Oldies: 50's through Mid 60's

I like Brad Paisley, just about any country, Hed PE, Trivium, Korn, and everything by Metallica, they are my absolute favorite.

Come to think of it I like just about anything but rap, (although I do like SOME of the songs where you can understand them, and there is a good beat.) It would take a year if I wrote everything I listen to.

Mainly RUSH, although I do enjoy some Bluegrass/Appalachian Mountain Music in the spring time. It depends on my mood really. I have quit a collection to choose from.

My wife gave me a Bose IPOD docking station for Christmas and I can't wait to use it this Spring!

LMAO this hippos! I missed my senior prom to go to a hippos show in Riverside!

LMAO!! Shut up!! We were probably both there dude! Rich Zahniser was a friend of mine and we went to most of their shows. I was such a ska head back in HS and early college years. I was all about RxB and all the other Fueled By Ramen/Drive Thru Records bands back then.

Now that you have a little one you can get into the world of Yo Gabba Gabba... which is produced by some of the members of the Aquabats LOL.

Between this and the mini truck stuff you and I must be cosmically linked or something :lolsmack:

No kidding.. I was a bigtime ska head. All the drive thru bands, we used to hang with NFG when they were nobodies.. I was at a show at Coo's cafe where new found glory played for a audience of maybe 30 people. A few of my buddies were trying to get me to go to the NFG 10 year concert last week, but with my little girl needing tons of attention I passed.

I still listed to LTJ pretty religiously, I've always been a fan of their music.. I may have grown out of the ska thing, but I still turn it on in the Camaro.

I'm actually pretty eclectic now-a-days, anything from country to christian to jazz... Funny how a punk/ska kid like me grew up to listen to country and christian music :lolsmack:

I even have a old AFI tattoo to prove it!

HAHA thats too funny!! To this day LTJ is in my top 5 favorite bands, GNV FLA is a great album and even though its distinctly them, you can tell they're starting to grow up and get old too... but nothing will ever replace Pezcore & Hello Rockview!!

I can remember the days when AFI was a "punk band" now... their music is good, but they certainly aren't punk anymore. Davey has gone all clean cut James Dean meets punk scene... got rid of the devilock. Have you heard their latest album, not bad, different, but not bad:

You can probably remember the days when 'the barn' in Riverside was still open... people swinging from the rafters during shows... that place was a death trap no wonder they closed it down. I saw the Aquabats, Save Ferris, Goldfinger, and Homegrown all play there one night when I was Jr. in HS... it was so much fun... they just don't have club shows like that anymore. The Trubador in Hollywood doesn't book acts like that anymore either. I'd love to see a good Goldfinger/HG/LTJ show in a small rowdy venue for old times sake.

Its funny how you grow up, but eventually get nostalgic for the 'old bands' I was listening to the Vandals not that long ago and remembering when I went to see them play at Gameworks in Ontario... you could tell whoever booked them had NO IDEA what they had gotten themselves into... we D E S T R O Y E D the inside of that place!! My friend broke his nose in the pit and I got all battered and bruised jumping in trying to save him, beer bottles flying everywhere, video games being tipped over. One of the guys from Assorted Jellybeans was in the crowd and got sucker punched... ah... those were the days.
