1971 Dodge Challenger R/T.. very Nice!!!

FOR SALE--1971 Dodge Challenger R/T—real R/T Challenger, originally 383 now 440-6 pack with 727 Auto trans.

California Car (have copy of title), I purchased in Illinois (never titled) Originally Gunmetal Grey with no stripes, body side molding. Car was black when I bought it and I kept it that way in restoration in year restoration in November 2000-Sept. of 2001. Numbers matching 383 goes with car (bored .030 over, mild cam, etc) 383 needs intake and car, Engine ran great while in car, rebuilt in 1999, pulled out in 2007 to make room for a 440-6 pack stroked to 500 Cubic Inches.

Car has been featured in September 2002 issue of Mopar Muscle Magazine, feature car in country music group Rascal Flatts video for the song “My Worst Fear”, won numerous awards including a best in class at Chrysler Classic, 1st Place at Mopar Nationals, 2002 Indianapolis World of Wheels GM Performance Car Show Series “Pick of the Show”, Street Machine Nationals 1st Place, Good Guys Hot Rod Nationals “Mopar Pick”,

The car underwent a full restoration in November of 2000, documented with photos. At time of restoration, disc brake conversion kit from Master Power Brakes was added to the front of the car, body was stripped down and shot with Base/Clear “Blue Black” from Spies Hecker. Underside of car was sprayed with Semi-Gloss paint. Trunk floor was replaced, lower quarter patch panels replaced.

Car was originally Gun Metal Grey, now painted with Spies Hecker Blue Black

nice car... why sell?

 

 

Had fun with the car for 11 years. Won big awards, been in music video, magazines, etc. Nearing retirement, wanting to buy a NEW challenger to tool around in and get in and go when i want. I love this car, but i think it is time to part.
