I thought fine machine polish was only to be applied only by machine? There is a revive for hand application it is the blue stuff. I thought FMP was for machine use only?

Good luck with your project Nicole!!:xfingers::2thumbs:

Yeah Nicole GOOD LUCK!!! The FMP is done. Next Americana, interior, and spray glaze all the bright work. You can do the interior Friday night, I will do the Americana Friday afternoon.

Nah... You can use them all by hand but you won't get the results like you do with a D/A. Most use Revive by hand but they can all be used.

Ok thanks for your help. One more question, which color pad should I use for fmp by hand?

Even if there are alot of areas that I can not get fmp because of the tight space? Even the little pads are not fitting this car has a ton of angles.

You do them by hand then... Time consuming but overall worth it!

Check out the hex grip hand pads they created for that.

Answer#2- don't skip FMP because it lays down the base for the wax and also it will remove any remaining swirls or light scratches that weren't removed. Hope this helps:2thumbs:

While we are on the subject of help. The entire car was done with clay bar, swirl and haze by machine and hand, revive polish by machine, and the blue revive by hand. About 1/4 to 1/2 the car can not be done with a machine because of tight spaces. I was going to fine machine polish only the hood, trunk lid tops, and part of the fenders, the rest has to be done by hand, this car has a ton of nooks and crannies. My question is should I skip the fmp and just do a coat of americana by hand to the entire car?
