Team Adam's
Marketing, pure and simple, marketing. I give this guy far less credit b/c all hes doing it trying to one up the guy (Dalton) who originated this hyper-luxe-detail gimmick. In the end its a means of getting your name out there and anyone whos paying for that service isn't getting anything that a detailer charging half or a quarter as much would do other than bragging rights. Then again, when you have the kind of money to pay exorbitant amounts of money to have someone else detail your expensive toys a 5 figure detail probably doesn't hurt your bank account as much as most people. Laguna
I disagree. I've seen a guy who literally takes off the wheels and Q-Tips to the wheel wells. Sits under the car and steel wools everything. Literally every cm on the car is clean and dirt/dust free. Takes apart the main parts of the engine like the heads, etc. to clean it all out. How many of you have actually ever cleaned thoroughly like that?
Foxxer
I would rather modify my engine than spending $11k for detailing? I thank God that I found Adam's, helped me completely to solve problems. I've seen worse, people bragging on detailing their cars top to bottom, even the chassis. I mean who cares if your chassis is sparkling clean or not

How many of you have actually ever cleaned thoroughly like that? There are a number of highly skilled detailers out there that do high level work like that on a regular basis. A guy I know personally in Costa Mesa regularly works on cars for a week, sometimes 2. Last time I was there he had a Ferrari disassembled down to a shell just so he could detail the suspension and refinish the wheels, wetsand the door jambs, and restore the exhaust. Even with all of that at his rate of $65 p/hour hes in the range of $5500-$7500. Dalton and guys like this typically aren't disassembling cars other than maybe taking the wheels off. Again, the value of a service is in the eye of the customer - if someone believes the service is worth $10k they'll pay it.

Team Adam's
Just because your price list includes an $11,000 option doesn't necessarily mean anyone has taken you up on that yet, but you have to admit its great marketing. I've now seen this exact same thing posted on about a dozen sites this week... thats a lot of eyeballs on this guy for no other reason than "OMG!! More expensive than Paul Dalton!!"
