What kind of wheel is this ?

I know it looks good, thanks to GWC and water. I want to polish (have not been polished in 8+ years) them but not sure if they are clear coated or anything like that. If it matters it is on a 01 F250. I have all the polishes so fire away with your suggestions. Thanks

On my excursion I just use metal polish and it works wonders.

I would say that they are cleared, if you take Adam's Metal Polish and wipe a small spot and the rag turns black they are not cleared.If they are not proceed with MP.If they are cleared treat them like your paint, polish, wax and top off with BSG!Hope this helps! Enjoy!

More than likely, they are not coated, but may be a chrome clad cover. Ford started doing this around that year. Easy way to tell would be to pop one of the centercaps off and see if you can see the cover.

Looks like chrome, but it hard to say without being able to physically see / touch them.

Ok after applying MP is small place, applicator did not turn black. I guess that tells me they are clear coated. I then put on some revive, and man what a light blinding shine. Thanks for the help guys.

Sounds good! Don't forget now to put a coat of wax on them for protection! Revive is a polish.Glad to help!!

If they were chrome, they wouldn't turn black either.

yeah most metal polishes say that a black residue will show up but I've used blue magic polish and shelled reptile brand and neither showed any type of residue at all
