Day 2!!!! The Journey is over!

Question

Well everyone, as promised I have attached some pictures of the end product. I started this little Camaro project Friday evening around 7:15. Washed and clayed the car and woke up early Saturday to get down and dirty. It has been neglected for about two months as have all of my cars. Work is crazy right now.:help: Yesterday included hitting the car with SHR, FMP and MSW. It took all day and literally 4lbs of sweat. I finished up yesterday around 2:00 and let the MSW cure over night. Well almost.... I was up at 1:00am so I decided to wipe her down and apply the second coatwith the PC. The wife was not amused:explode: I then proceeded to detail the interior and finish up the engine bay with the new VRT and I&O. I had to pinch myself a couple of times to make sure I had not fallen asleep and was dreaming I was holding a can of I&O spray in my hand. The stuff is great!!:2thumbs:. At around 3:00am, I decided to call it a day. Woke up this morning at around 7:00 and decided to get my daily run finished before the oven was turned on. 7:00am 91 degrees and heat index at 100. Will someone PLEASE close the oven door!!!!?

After retuning home, I wiped her down again and appleied 2 coats of that beautiful Americana with the :pc:. Did a final wipe down and hit the black stipes with the PC and the 4" focus black pad using the new VRT. Made them feel and look like glass. I finished everything off by cleaning the windows and applying the final glass sealant. FINALLY I'm finished. The only problem is that I feel really bad looking at the Vette. Looks like I know what I will be doing next weekend and probably the weekend after that. If I don't detail my Tahoe soon, I think someone is going to call the authorities on me for neglect. It hasn't been cleaned in over a year.

To make matters worse, as my wife was leaving to go to her mothers house for lunch, she asked if I could do her car quick when she got home:lolsmack:. She thinks it take 30 minutes to get a car looking perfect.

Hope you enjoy the pics and will take some before and afters on my next project...... to be continued.......

looks great!

what did you use on the stripes? i have never gotten mine to look that black!

EDIT: DOH! just re-read your OP. so Super VRT with a focus pad... interesting combo for some great looking results!

everyone says to use clear polish on the stripes... you use any of that as well? did you go over the stripes with any wax?

Thanks Ryan.

No wax at all on the stripes. Applied the VRT by hand, but I had a problem with water spots, so I pulled out the black pad and the :pc:. It did a great job. It's raining here, so I'm going to see how the water beaded when I get home. Will post up some pics later.

Great Job George on the detail.

I hate to inform you but your REALLY going to have to work on the Tahoe if you get it done in two days. Also, the authorities are on their way to take it away from you.
