I'm a little bit OCD when it comes to ordering supplies when I don't really have the proper experience. I keep second-guessing everything, then I end up waiting for stuff to arrive while my project sits unfinished. That's what's happening now!
I was watching some of the Junkman's videos on here, and he was discussing the counterweight on the PC buffers and to make sure to use to proper pad for your weight. I checked my PC, and it is a 7336SP. It has the 6" counterweight, and a 5" hook and loop backing pad installed. This is what I used on my only real, proper detail job a few years back. I used 5" Lake Country CCS pads at that time. Maybe it was a poor setup, but I did not know any better. It was suggested to me by the admin of another detailing forum.
So, I don't think I can use the Adam's orange and white pads with my existing backing pad because I think it is a bit too narrow. But, if I buy the backing plate and pads that Adam sells, which as I understand are designed for 7424s with 5" counterweights, am I going to have to find a 5" counterweight?
Question
Bull
Howdy, Folks.
