Kingsford
I was thinking about using the 4" pads with my PC. Is there anything I should know about the settings, speeds, and weights before I go and ruin my paint or something?
The Ryan
Nope - just attach the proper backing plate and go to town. The counter weight stays the same.
mc2hill
I use the same settings as with the large pads. The smaller, lighter pads will take more pressure than larger ones. Since the backing plate is black, I put a thin strip of green painters tape on it so I can see it spinning.

Nordgrey
I actually found it a lot more controlable if I backed it down to 4500 from 5000 when using the 4" pads.
dipolley
I just bought a cheap corded drill. Less agrivation.
The Ryan
I just bought a cheap corded drill. Less agrivation. True - but be careful around edges; remember your basically using a rotary polisher when using a drill.

Since the backing plate is black, I put a thin strip of green painters tape on it so I can see it spinning. I made a line with a silver marker...
