GTO Guy
is the 3401 the flex i need? what are you guys packing that is not the PC?
The Ryan
the flex doesn't have interchangeable backing plates, so you'll have to buy pads to fit it. I had a flex, it took a dump and I have yet to replace it. Currently I have a PC and a vector rotary.
GTO Guy
I thought adam told me his pads would work on a flex?
floraneg
I've been looking into a FLEX 3401. I think it is the safest of all the Flex.

Team Adam's
I thought adam told me his pads would work on a flex? The 3401 ships with a 5.5" backing plate that is not interchangeable. Our pads currently take a 5.875" backing plate. You CAN use our pads with a flex, but the plate will sit just inside of the guide ring instead of on it. As a result you need to make sure the pad is centered, also we have no long term results on how that effects pad life. Also if you're working in tight spots the use of a 4" pad on the PC is very handy, I use them on almost every detail I do... not an option on the Flex unfortunately. Not to say its a bad machine, its a very nice tool - but it does have its flaws.
