Barry Meguiar in the ICU

Team Adam's

Question

Hang in there Barry.

As much as we jump on Megs as a competitor you never want to hear this kind of bad news.

Barry is a giant in the business and always will be. Probably one of the single most important people in the business and probably the one most responsible for bringing detailing out of the body shops and putting it into the hands of the masses, paving the way for companies like ours along the way.

The collective thoughts and prayers from our team go out to Barry and his family. Keep fighting Barry - theres still more cars to polish here before you go!! :(

Definitely wish him a speedy recovery. I found and update online about what is going on.

Barry Meguiar, the affable host of “Car Crazy” on SPEED, is recovering at Monterey Community Hospital after falling ill during the collector-car events surrounding the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

According to a statement from the Meguiar family, Barry contacted “an undiagnosed virus while recently filming out of the country.” He is currently in stable and improving condition, according to his doctors.

“The Meguiar family is extremely thankful for all of the prayers and well wishes that have been sent along and is looking forward to his full recovery and returning home to the Los Angeles area quickly,” the family said in a statement .

This is good news. Sounds like he will be back at it soon.
