Scratch Begone

Was doing my prewash walk around and spotted these little buggers on the hood. Not sure where they came from, but I know where they went. Away!

 

 

Since they were in an area that was smaller than the large pads, I went with the 4" pads on the PC. Started with two passes with the orange and SHR. It managed a couple of the smaller ones, but the main scratch remained visible.

 

Stepped up to the yellow pad and SHR. A couple passes with that solved the large scratch. Finished up with a pass on the orange and then FMP on the white to even things out.

Hmm... I have some scratches just like that, that wont go away with Orange pad +SHR. Should I order the yellow pad and give it a try? I thought maybe they where all the way thru the paint. I didn't get the yellow pad with my kit when I got it over a year ago.

 

Oh and really good job on those scratches.

I would definetly suggest the yellow pad. Like I said, I did a couple passes with the orange and it did the lighter scratches, but the longest one needed the yellow.
