ExpressThis13
Well its that time of year and allergies are kicking in again:mad: I havent had allergies for the past couple years but this year they pretty bad. I had my left eye swell up on me yesterday while I was visiting a friend outside of cedar rapids in the country and Ive been taking meds. Ive tried claratin D (currently taking) and zyrtec and neither of them are making me allergy free and not doing much for symptoms. What do you guys take for allergies? Ive thought about alavert. Benadryl makes me very drowsy so I try to avoid it but if its what I need to take then I will have to deal with it.
Kingsford
I feel ya... I haven't been able to breath for a week now. This morning in the shower I probably managed to get about a gallon of snot out. I know how everyone wanted to know that. Went and got my Nasonex and Clariton-D. This is like the 2nd year that I've ever had really bad allergies.
Chewy
They make another Claratin you can get from the pharmacist which offers a bit more punch. I use my wifes generic Zyrtec and it works OK. I only have allergies in the fall. Chris

DieselDude
You guys might want to try some nasal saline solution. I have found that work good with allergies and colds. I start with Claratin and if it does not work I will then use Alavert.
GXPaycheck
Allegra-D and Singulair work as well. I started allergy shots a while back and the schnoz is much better now!
