Leaking Bottle

Tundra5-0

Question

While at Truck Nationals in Carlisle the bottom of my GWC developed a crack and began leaking. I simply turned the bottle upside down and kept it like that for a day. Not wanting to waste a whole spray bottle I was looking something to put the GWC in. I found an empty water bottle which were not only in our tent, but everywhere. Not only can you poor it in the water bottle, but the sprayer fit on the bottle too. We had a bottle of touch up paint and labeled it so no one would drink it!

I just bought a new GWC bottle today since I buy it by the gallon.

I'm glad they're looking into a new manufacturer for their spray bottles.

All the squeeze bottles are fine, but EVERY spray bottle I've ever had has cracked. Never dropped, never stepped on or crushed, nothing.

2 Detail Spray bottles that I refill with my 5 gallon jug have split.

The one that came with the glass cleaner, all purpose cleaner, and interior cleaner all split too. I just transfer them all into el-cheapo bottles from my local home improvement store which stinks cause the ones from Adam's are nice and small and with that comfy squeeze trigger too.

Maybe I'll ask for a few extras with my next order, or just wait until the new ones come out.

Thanks Dylan. I didn't start this thread as a complaint, just a quick save when your stuff starts to leak. Some of my bottles are getting to be a couple of years old, since I buy in gallons and refill. I have gotten my plenty of use out of them.

I think Adam needs to get thick dark color bottles that would hold up better.

The dark color would help protect any UV's or light damaging the products. That's why beer Companies use dark color bottles to protect there products.

The heat's the main killer here...

This is why the label is so big and the inside of the label is like a mirror.

I'm in the same boat. I now have 3 cracked bottles, luckily I lost almost no contents and had a couple empty containers around to put the stuff in. Then I just went to the hardware store and got some empty spray bottles. My Adam's shelf looks goofy though because I have these nice Adam's bottles with three plain bottles with masking tape and magic marker on them. lol

The only bottle I have a problem with is the detail spray bottle. It's the only one that collapses in on itself. Just like it getting crushed as the product is dispensed. It doesn't matter which sprayer is on it. It's happened with more than one bottle, but only with the detail spray.

I have saved many of my old product bottles and cleaned them out with Dawn and hot water. (Note: I remove the old labels as well; no sense advertising for a product I won't use again.) Since I can be a Mr. Bungles I know it's just a matter of time until I drop another bottle. Before the new bottle arrives I can put my Adam's product in (blasphemy!) a competitors and still be able to use it. I also keep a Sharpie pen and some Avery labels with these empty bottles.

On a side note I know you can order extra sprayers, but how about bottles? I was unable to find any in the online store.

I just put this in the suggestion box as well. :mail:

Just ask for a empty bottle in your notes @ checkout - the warehouse folks sent a few my way :D

I had a very slow leak on a bottle of APC. Lost all the contents. Probably a good idea to pour your product into a good durable bottle.
