1st time with Leather and Interior Cleaner

1anonly

Question

I got my order of Leather and Interior Cleaner with the conditioner yesterday. Well today it was time to put it to the test. My DD is a 2006 Eddie Bauer Explorer. If you didn't know Eddie Bauer's have little tan(almost white) two tone interior. Until today I was using Turtle Wax Ice Total Interior Care. It always cleaned my leather wrapped wheel in one wipe and did a good job on the seats and console.... I thought.

First went over the seats with the TW, here's what was left.

Hmmmm, not as clean as I thought. So I sprayed it down with the Leather and Interior Cleaner then scrubbed it down with a horsehair brush. I had to do multiple passes because these seats were DIRTY! And the results.

And the M/F towel. (Yes, I know it's not an Adam's) Both sides looked like this after one seat, so two towels were used.

So far, every Adam's product is 10X better than what I USED to use. I have been 110% satisfied with every Adam's product so far. :bravo:

Now I just have to find someone to give all my old products. I need more room for all my Adam's stuff.

I recommend leather conditioner application by hand. Its a great way to massage all the product into the leather.

Ryan, I just recleaned the whole interior and then I did a hand rubbing of conditioner. My Explorer now smells like a Wilsons leather store:2thumbs:

And so does my hand! :jester:

Thanks for the tip

Great job 1anonly.

Just want to echo the statement that streaking comes from different areas absorbing the conditioner at different rates. The first time I tried the interior cleaner and the conditioner on one of my cars' leather, I was blown away by how dirty the leather was and then by how thirsty the leather seemed. I was cleaning and treating the leather with an all-in-one cleaner and conditioner and thought they were in great shape. After using Adam's products, I seem to have been wrong! :)

As far as giving old cleaning products away, I went to an auto parts store and asked the clerk if they wouldn't mind just giving them to someone that wanted them. Of course I "accidentally" left a few Adam's stickers and DVDs in the bag. :D

I play a lot of softball and volleyball so my seats are always dirty. The seats are pretty clean now. I'm going to get them completely clean this weekend. I knew the seats were dirty, but not to that extreme.

put a towel on your seat after your practice or game that way u dont get it dirty

Okay, now that you got them clean you need to condition them good. You might notice some streaking with the first application, but that's because it's absorbing the product at different rates. A lot of times it takes multiple applications to really condition them well.

Great job on the cleaning.

Yes, I did notice some streaking. I got one coat of conditioner on them now. But Friday I plan on doing an intensive cleaning of the interior. Today I was only going try it out, but it turned into both front seats. I wouldn't be surprised if I go through half a bottle cleaning the inside. I'm also going to clean my Corvette seats. That car isn't dirty at all, but it needs a healthy coat of conditioner.

I'm just blown away by every Adam's product I've tried so far. I have yet to use an Adam's product that hasn't impressed me.

Nope, those are new seats! :jester:

Great job Dan. :2thumbs:

It amazing what quality products can do. And I don't blame you for not using one of your good Adam's towels on that job. Those cheapie microfibers have their place with that type cleaning.
