Any question on the new Brilliant Glaze?

Marylander

Question

The other day my car was treated to a wash and application of Brilliant Glaze by the awesome guys at the Adam's Warehouse. 1000 miles of bugs and light rain later it's still shining like you wouldn't believe. I caught this reflection with my cell phone camera at a rest stop today. BG is truly amazing stuff.:bow::bow:

I was going to try putting a spray trigger on my bottle. Seems like it is thin enough to do that, and would limit the amount of product used better than squirting it into a pad that really sucks up the product.

;):iagree::thumbsup:

With sprayer and MF pad I seem to be able to get a thinner, more consistent application and use less product. JMO.

Yup,thats what I mentioned earlier, but instead of the MF pad I use the red UFO.Works VERY well like that.:2thumbs:

I'll have to give the MF pad a try next time.

The initial test batch worked fine on the first use, but when you went to use it again the sprayer had clogged, hence the pour top. The version being sold is mixed better and may work with the sprayer.

I guess if that is the case, you could put the sprayer on while using the product. Then when done, remove the sprayer and replace the pour top, then spray the sprayer to remove all contents in the tube until next use.

What I do to prevent thr sprayer getting clogged is, for my last use i'll unscrew the sprayer from the bottle and spray what's left in the spray trigger tube onto the applicator. That way there's none left to clog the sprayer (If that makes any sense).:willy:

The spray trigger with the BG has not clogged or let me down yet?

I seemed to be getting too much product soaking into the Americana pad and my coverage was not consistent (some areas too heavy), so I too put a sprayer on it and I also started using a MF applicator pad.

I apply it just like the original BSG.

I was told the initial (beta) version was thicker than the final product...the you tube video of Adam with new BG shows a thicker product which sits on top of the foam applicator and could clog a sprayer.

I've been using a sprayer with the released version and have not had a problem (yet?)....it is just slightly thicker than the BSG.

If you liked BSG, you'll love BG. More shine, dries much faster. I hear it looks really good on RED too! ;)

:iagree: The wife and I both always loved BSG. Today I was getting my Vette ready for a big show tomorrow and the wife came out and just kept saying how much she loves the new BG. She may have been hinting it would be okay to do her TBSS also. The car sure looks great!

I just ordred my first batch of BG... and I'm gonna use all my buttery wax before I step up to the americana..

Im gonna try the spayer with th BG and I have an extra yellow wax applicator... will that work with the BG?

Oh and any thoughts on the pros/cons for BG under BW or BW under BG?

:D Thanks!

Yellow hex grip if fine... the only upside to the americana app is the blue backing is much more pliable - allows you to squeeze the product back to the surface as it starts to soak in.

Really no need to use the sprayer, you are going to apply it to the app first anyways so why risk overspray/wasted product.

If it were me I'd go BG under BW.

Awesome!

Which order tends to last longer. bw over bg? or is there not much difference in longevity?

I was kinda bummed that after a full day of hand polish\wax, 3 days later we got some good rain and the BW was pretty much washed away... will bg on top of bw make it last any longer?

Just tried the New Brilliant Glaze and have a question.

Mine is much thinner than what I saw in Adam's you tube video. I shook it up real well and it kind of just soaked into the Adam's foam applicator. It did dry quickly and I do notice the separation is minimal (I'm familiar with BSG separation).

It performed well, but I'm just curious about the milky or watery like consistency.
