Cleaning the Engine bay

Does any one have any tips on cleaning a Subaru Engine bay. My car is 5 years old and never been done. Also I think if I had been doing it from day one I would have noticed the belt that was bad and would not have had issues with it exploding on my way to work the other day.

 

I have watched Adam's videos but I haven't found one the is just about cleaning the Engine bay.

Thanks, I had forgotten about those. I have watched them but because of it being a High End car would that be any different then my Daily Driver?

crunch some aluminum foil over parts you don't want water to get into. Because of where they are on my cars' engines, I cover the alternator, a/c lines and a few sensor plugs. I even covered a belt in one the last time I did it.
