Glass is way way harder than clearcoat and even a compound isn't going to hurt it. An orange pad and the fine machine polish does seem to do a very nice job cleaning windshields.

Always been a beautiful color, one of my favorites.

Sweet looking SRT8. One of my buddies has one and loves his.

Most importantly you need to invest in a powerwasher to blow the heavy grit off. I've had Superduty's that get used day in and day out doing construction, going skiing, snowmobiling, etc and I've found you have to use something to blow the big stuff off before you even start cleaning to avoid hurting the paint.

Just finished building a new house of my own (I did it myself) and it's definitely good being able to change things on the go. What type of house are you guys thinking building?

I would go and look at a Crew Cab Ecoboost. Those motors are hard to beat. I would take it over the 6.2 in either the Chevy or Ford.
As for the Raptor being overpriced they are about 3,000 more than a comparably equipped F150. Go out and try to get even CLOSE to having all the mods that a Raptor comes with (and a factory warranty). The suspension system would be easily 3-4,000 to replicate .

I've always wanted to buy a dually but I just have no REAL justification for one. I don't tow over 15,000 pounds. I guess I just need to buy a bigger trailer

Looking good! I swear one of these days when I finally start making money again I'll come down and go skiing there and visit the warehouse! I have a free place to stay somewhere down in that area in the form of my uncles house. Maybe I could even get him to bring his 69 Camaro Z28 over to the shop, I'm sure all you Chevy fans would get a kick out of it
Also Adam it's great to see your success throughout this bad economy! The construction sector has been getting better but I still haven't bought a new company vehicle since 2008 . I wish you the best of luck in future endeavors and hope your growth continues!

While part of this may have been done at the dealer the Italian factories seems to love sending out cars that have sanding marks, buffing trails, holograms and other flaws. I do not expect my mass produced cars ( I love them but they are mass produced) to have these kind of problems and as long as you don't let the monkey's get ahold of them at the dealer I feel like they have a better base to work with than these improperly detailed supercars.

I really wish I had done some before/afters on an 06 dodge dually. Looks like the tires had never been degreased and the white letters were barely visible as they were so brown/covered in silicon tire dressing and dirt. A couple passes with APC and they looked brand new. Of course I have no before pics!

So glad I have a laminator for things like this!

Thats weird I very rarely will ever spill?

dang it! now I want to buy lots more towels! when is it gonna end? money money money!
Really, it never ends...

Yea there's a difference between a waterless wash like adams and a dedicated no-rinse wash system. I would recommend going to a coin place and blowing off the big stuff and doing a normal wash.

Pretty crazy for only 2 hours of work, looks great (especially for the time).

Here's some quotes by Dylan from this thread: http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9642
The BG should be fine to help them shine but the APC may be a little harsh to use every time. If you were to wax them to protect them, the APC would probably strip that wax right back off.
Even GWC will probably strip it off after 1 or 2 times, depending on dwell time, etc.

We just need to get Jeff to wash is car on Mondays instead of Fridays
Jeff you should come to WA, maybe it would sunshine?

FYI this car is not a diesel. It's a 350z.
Haha your name kind of threw me off.
Then some APC and some elbow grease should get you all cleaned up.

X2.
X3...so I bought another and its almost full

ive had some tar on mine, i tried a razor blade because all the cleaners/compounds and even gas i had wouldnt take it off. dont do a razor it scratched mine but it was a last resort. curious to try out some of these ways.
I think he's cleaning the inside of the exhaust system, unless I was mistaken when I read it? Try plastic razor blades, they are a godsend.

5 years of baked on diesel exhaust soot won't come off without some determination, between the crazy heat diesels put out and how crappy fresh soot is to begin with I would try something along the lines of an SOS pad (the soap helps) and spray down the inside with some harsh cleaners (like CLR) and let that soak in there before rinsing off and trying the SOS pad. I've been over this before and its simply ridiculous how hard it is to get off. Wear gloves and watch out for the backsplash.

just curious......20 years equals how many miles on the odometer??
Hope you enjoy your new ride !!
Yea no doubt my cars would have over 500k on the odometers

My 7.3 was a great truck, but I'm a sucker for all the new technologies/ride/brakes. The brakes are my biggest concern.

Here's the million dollar question. Would you allow him to come practice on you car first, BEFORE he does his own???
If you believe your own advice, you'd arrange for him to use your ride as a practice run. Since you all live in the same state, you have no excuse to say no.
Actually yes I would. I have a couple of panels that have been repainted on the Excursion that I know are pretty thick clear and have a bit more orange peel than the rest of the panels. I just haven't got around to doing it yet. Spokane and where I live is almost 300 miles apart though. The door is open if he would like to.

I'm really glad I don't live anywhere close to Phil's shop, I'd spend way too much money there
