  1. My garage queen gets a blast from the Master Blaster, nice warm filtered air,and never had a problem with any scratches. If really dusty, a coating of foam from the foam cannon loaded up with Adams Car Shampoo, a quick rinse off of the foam,a blow dry from the Master Blaster, and perfectly clean and shiny!! Never touched the car with any type of pad or mitt so no scratching possible with this method.

I will give this a try...

  2.  Any pros or cons blowing off dust on other wise clean car?On Thursday nites I go to a Cruise In thats held on a grassy field. Then on Friday nite I go to another Cruise In where I wash the car before I go.So on Thursday I would like to just blow it off instead of washing two days in a row.

So if I blow it off(Carefully) with clean compressed air,any pros or cons?

    Thanks

  3. Welcome Tony.

As an owner of both a 96 Collector Edition Coupe and a 04 Coupe, keeping or maintaining the engine compartment area is pretty easy once it is cleaned to your expectations.

The C4 with OptiSpark does take time, without using high pressure water anywhere near the OptiSpark, but you can use some water to rinse the engine area, as long as you do not concentrate the flow in the area of the OptiSpark.

Adam's has a video on engine cleaning which should give you the basics to get started, then how much time and attention you put into cleaning and polishing  the aluminum components is strictly up to you.

Usually small brushes, lots of towels and good old fashioned "elbow grease" taking your time will make it look better than new!

Once done, you can keep it looking great using either In and Out spray, or a dilution of Super VRT lightly sprayed on, and buffed to a nice sheen.

     Thanks Robert

  4. Welcome Tony! How dirty is your engine compartment? Grease?

The "96"Grand Sport is spotless(Just Bought).I need to maintain it.My "92"needs a lot of attention,grease,dirt..I know water is the enemy of the Opti Spark.I'II try to learn how to post pictures.

     Thanks,

    Tony

  5.  I've never detailed a car in my life.Never had a reason to until now.Bought a show winning 1996 Corvette Grand Sport. So now I've got to at least learn the basics. My main concern is detailing the engine with out ruining the blasted Opti Spark.Does adams make a waterless engine cleaner.I'm sure some of you experenced detailers can point me in the right direction...

     Thanks,Tony
