  1. Good idea on the foam paint brush... I'll pick some up tonight at Home Depot.

I heard it was not a good idea to use any leather cleaner\conditioner on the MB Tex (vinyl but looks like leather). Can someone confirm...

I got blue MF towels reaplced when the others were leaving lint. I did not wash the new ones before using either... washing them tonight with Woolite on gentle cycle and then drying on low.

  2. Interior is black MB Tex on 2009 C300.

Even damp Adam's MF towels (blue) leave some lint on the seats...

Have issues getting "stuff" vacuumed or cleaned up in between the seats and doors. Area is almost too small to even fit my hand down there.

I use a mini vacuum to clean carpet mats. I use compressed air to clean out vents, shifter, etc...

Don't have the $$ to drop on the Adams car vacuum (maybe for Christmas!).

    Any ideas...?

  3. MB Tex can be a finicky material - but more often than not, you can treat just like any other plastic/vinyl synthetic. Stay away from using a microfiber on it (or even real leather for that matter) because if there's even just a small crack in the material, rubbing it with a microfiber will exacerbate the crack and you'll end up with 2 year old seats that look like 20 year old seats. Always use detail sponges for leather/pleather material so you can more evenly and safely distribute pressure.

Thanks for the info... so what do you treat it with?

  4. Hopefully my post was not taken as a rant... I was just looking for help from the community and making sure I did not do something wrong before I contacted Adam's customer support.

It seems the preferred method is to tumble dry low in the dryer vs. air drying. I had read to be careful with the dryer, so I choose to avoid completely.

I did email Adam's support yesterday morning and as always, I received a quick response. Ashley suggested boiling towels for 5 minutes then drying on gentle cycle to help avoid lint. If it did not fix the issue, then I was assured I would be taken care of.

    Thanks :)

  5. Just washed my (4) new blue MT towels for the 2nd time. Used Woolite on gentle cycle in cold water and hung dry in my laundry room.

Went to wipe down car with the DS this morning and all of the MF towels are leaving lint all over my black paint. :( They were perfect after the first wash with Woolite and I did everything the same.

Any ideas... or am I screwed? :help:

  6. I am always afraid of those rails in the drive through touchless car wash. I scares me even more to have some random dude trying to straighten it out at the hand car wash.

I'll continue to use the touchless on occassion as it saves me some time even though I know the detergents are a little harsh.

  7. Well... I ran out of time last weekend (too many bbqs and hungover) so I ran the black Benz through its first hand car wash. At least the guy asked me if I did not want them to use brushes to scrub the panels prior to washing and I obviously said yes.

Anyways, got it home and as expected, I immediately noticed swirls all over as I was wiping down with the DS. I have the Swirl and Haze Remover and am looking forward to using it for the first time this weekend. Gonna use the S&H and then the Buttery Wax.

Only gonna run it through a car was wash from now on when it is only absolutely necessary... cause it just causes me more work down the road.

  8. I finally used the Buttery wax, BSG and VRT on the Benz Saturday afternoon. All I can say is WOW! Could not believe how easy the Buttery wax and BSG was to apply and wipe off.

On Sat I sprayed some BSG on a non MF towel to apply to the wheels. It obviously did not go on as good as using a MF applicator pad but I was afraid to get the MF pad too dirty. Guess I should not worry about it and just wash them after with Woolite.

I used BSG on the windows as well and was amazed how clear they are. Do you guys clean the windows first with windows cleaner and then BSG?

I drove through a little coastal mist Monday morning and when I got home I simply wiped the paint down with some Detail Spray and a MF towel and it looks just as great as it did on Sat. Would this take away some of the shine of the BSG? Is it ok to use the DS on the windows to remove some dust?

    Thanks!
