glad i came across this post because i couldnt figure out a way to clean up my grills that didnt take forever. thanks for the tip!
if you havent already, dilute you VRT about 50% and put it in a spray bottle for areas like honeycomb grilles.
-
Not to mention I can just spray GWC over my whole wheel/tire and then apply the VRT over some of the residual VRT and they look great.
(in my experience GWC will leave about 50% of the vrt on by just spraying it.
hmm didnt know GWC would clean tires also, i just cleaned my tires today since they are gonna be unmounted and remounted in the next week or so and didnt want the tire guy (friend of mine) getting all nasty from them

I would have to say Black Magic Titanium Gel. Freaking worthless I couldn't for my life get the crap evenly coated on my tires. I have yet to try Adams VRT on my tires because I am afraid of it being difficult and very time consuming. I do however like Black Magics spray FOAM! Its very easy to get a nice even coat and leaves it with a nice glossy shine that wont sling all over the vehicle and it lasts a long time. Im going on 2 weeks on my last app.
if you dont start using VRT after all these people telling you to, your crazy lol. Its the only thing I will use on my tires now and mine are huge compared to yours. Just the fact that VRT doesnt leave them brown looking after a couple applications makes it worth it since they are a pain to clean with all the side lugs plus I dont care for shiny dripping wet looking tires, VRT leaves them with a perfect shine

yellow pads are used with swirl and haze remover, they are the "ultra swirl killer" pad
-
wow, it really stripped the paint. i know a guy with a brand new Lincoln MKS and his wheels did the same thing, he had his fixed but it helps that hes the owner of the dealer. I know there are guys out there that refinish wheels or possibly see about warranty work on them

i didnt have a chance to stay long today at the clinic, but i did get a chance to fill up a few boxes with gallons and tons of other stuff.

Had a good time today at the clinic, i went straight home and bought a car that needs to be detailed badly lol

Did you have your car down in fullerton a couple weeks ago at Nicks super burgers at there little cruise in night?
There was one exactly like that, only one ive seen on the road so far. That color is beautiful

Looks like the usual suspects will be there
I'm thinkin the TBSS just looks too rough to be seen in public... I may have to find and alternate (faster) mode of transport to the clinic
i let a porter at work wash my truck, its nasty and embarrasing with swirls but i dont have time to polish it out right now lol.

I finally a chance to use it on my truck, worked awesome and was able to get in all the sidelugs of the tires

Very impressive turnaround. price seems really cheap tho, guy got a really good deal

Polish's and pad's arent going to remove orange peel, it needs to be sanded. If you havent done it before, its very dangerous and you can ruin a paintjob very easily. Adam's doesnt have a compound heavy enough that I would wetsand a car with and buff it all back out. To get rid of the orange peel, your going to have to wetsand the clear, I have always done it with 1000, followed by 1500, and 2000. Buffed it all out with a Dewalt rotary and some 3M compounds.
It would take a ton of work to try and buff it out with a PC and your going to have to sand it finer with 3000. It can be done on smaller spots with 3000 and some SHR but that also takes time.

wow, that thing is rough, cant wait to see the finished shots
