Heres one after the dealership monkeys got done with it. Full detail comin this weekend. And some more pics if anybodys interested.

Right on! When GM says 426 HP for tha Camaro they mean a real 426, I bet you have around 380 at the rear wheels. I mention exhaust as my Vette has the dual mode exhaust and when open it is like a 60's muscle car with headers and straight thru mufflers. Have fun.
I didnt know it till today, but it has its own "trans brake" like system. They call it launch mode or something, you hit the traction control button twice and engage the clutch, and mash the gas. The rpm's stay at like 3 grand and then you just release the clutch and your gone! Sick little toy! Sick!
-
Holy cow your not a kiddin! That thing is a monster! I couldnt beleive it. And to be honest, I dont think it needs exhaust at all. Somma ***** sounds mean!

Hey Congrats on the new SS!!!! Yeah....I hope they won't "detail" it FOR you..OMG. My dealer offers to WASH cars after an oil change...I say NOOOOOO -you cannot touch the paint
I took my TBSS for an oil change last week and they asked if I wanted them to wash it. I said no thanks, and he just kinda looked at me like a moron and said, "I better go stop em then, I think they already started.":loser:

SWEEEEET!!!are you going to put the stripes on?
Yeah gonna go with the black rally stripes. Its an RS/SS so figured gotta go with the stripes. Not a big fan of the hockey stick stripes so those are stayin off.

Oh and to make your nightmare worse, this is what they are going to use to dry your new perfect car with
Oh God!! I think I'm gonna be sick now!!
That looks like a bums street washing kit!

Yeah I just posted in another topic on here. Im claying and giving it fresh wax right away tomorrow.
1,200 miles on a rail car, then another 50 on the back of a truck!
Fallout central!!
-
It just cracks me up the way the dealership acts like its still their car!
"We have to keep it overnight and check blah, blah, blah....."
I should have taken it fresh off the truck!
Papers have been signed and everything since Saturday.

Im claying my Camaro as soon as I get it home tomorrow. 1,200 miles on a rail car, then on the back of a truck for another 50. Fallout central!!!

I tried, but they said they detail them.
I know I could do a better job than they could all day, every day. Ill just go over it again tomorrow when I pick it up.
-
Holy cow! She finally arrived! Drove by just in time to see her getting unloaded.
-
Thought I would give a quick update.
I followed the suggestions everybody had and all of them seem to be doing a much better job. I think I mostly forgot to shake it really good, and I was using way to much!
And this is the only pic I have right now of my baby. My dad has my camera on vacation this week.
Took this with my camera phone last weekend at the show.

Oh yeah garage definitely gets over 85! Ill have to start keeping everything in the house for sure. Might have to clear out a whole room for all the Adam's stuff. Ha Im a sick, sick man if I devote an entire room in my house for detail stuff.
BTW Adam, Camaro should be here by Wednesday at the latest! Kinda Excited!

I probably should have asked you this when I had you on the phone, but what do you recommend when I am at the different car shows? We dont get a lot of room at the shows usually so thats why the DS and different supplies stay in the trunk. Come to think of it, my garage can get pretty hot during the day and Ill notice condensation in the gallons of DS in the garage.
The garage issue is probably gonna take some movin around and thinkin on my part, but the car show issue I would love to hear suggestions for.
We have a pop up tent that we use but as you know it still gets freakin hot around here!
Thanks for the tremendous customer support and awesome products!

Thanks Bill. Ill have to wait to give this a try cause its been raining like crazy around here! Trucks dirty as hell and it pisses me off! Lol.
I was spraying it directly on the paint so ill try spraying it on the towel next time see how that goes.
Just remembered I spent a good 6 hours detailing my 68 442 for the show this weekend, so its still clean. Ill try it out on that. Ill post some pics of er later on when the sun comes out.

Hey guys has anybody else had the problem of the detail spray leaving streaks? I have black cars and I know they show everything but I thought this was not supposed to leave streaks. Its almost like a residue being left behind that i have to really buff kinda hard to remove. Is this normal or do I have something going on here?
-
Hey Junkman I noticed you said wash in cold water only but the tag that came with my towels said warm water and warm dry cycle only. Dont know if they changed towels and directions since you first wrote this up but figured I would drop my 2 cents.

Nohtin crazy at the moment cause shes my daily but bolt on power. New tune, e-fans, intake and the like. Cam, maggie and full exhaust are definately in the future. **** its an expensive hobby!
-
Thanks! I figured I would do a little somethin different. Some Vette owners find it offensive but they dont pay the bills so whatever. Im not sayin shes a Vette, far from it, but I thought it was a nice little tribute. My dad owns a Vette and he didnt have any beef so I slapped it on there.

Powered by Corvette.
400+ horse LS2 with a few upgrades under the hood.
-
Well that too of course. What else would get me threw the hours it takes to keep a black car looking so nice!
-
Mile high refers to the location being Colorado, not how high the truck sits. It does sit pretty high on those 20's though.
-
Man you guys all suck! Nobody is even close! Well to end all the suspense........

Its a 68. I originally got the car when I was 16. About 6 months after I got it I was sideswiped by an illiterate drunk driver. In the end I received $80 from him and he skipped town, didnt even pay for one of the new T/A tires that had to be replaced.
So 11 years, tears, and $$$$ later, there she is.
It needs a new paint job pretty bad, shes a 20 footer. The man we had paint it after it was hit didnt do the job he promised us. Sadly it happens more often than not.
