What is the best way to clean my foam and microfiber polishing pads? I'm going to be getting my truck show ready pretty quickly here and would like to know what is the best was to clean the pads and dry them so that they are ready for the next day. My time is limited so i know it is going to take me multiple days to do this. I was considering buying a pad washer that goes with a 5 Gallon bucket, but if there is a better way or cheaper I'd like to know. TIA

Thanks for the replys guys.
Mook- when I applied the MSS I pretty much did one panel at a time and wiped it off just like I would with Americna. I didn't let it sit very long before wiping it off. I read somewhere here on the forum that if you apply Americana too soon before the sealant cures that the MSS will smear or leave the appearance of holograms. Sorry if it seemed like it was underneath the sealant. I know for a fact that I didn't have holograms before the sealant was applied.

Hello everyone, so during the summer i did a car show with my truck, (I got 1st place in my class, Thanks Adams!). I did the full correction to the truck the week leading up to the show, SSR, SHR, FMP, MSS, BG, and then finished it up with Americana. Needless to say it took me quite a while. All the while I was doing this I was working 11 hours a day and working over an hour away from home. I was tired and in a hurry and didn't realize something, I didn't realize that the MSS had a cure time. Well, fast forward a few months, I didn't really get too much time to play with my truck as I was working 7 days a week, 11+ hours a day. A few weeks back i was able to get my truck out of storage and I noticed that I had some holograms. I did some research on here and found out that i had to let the MSS cure for 12-24 hours. I have some time right now and i wanted to redo my truck. My question is should I go through all of the steps again before I apply the MSS since I kinda did it in a rush the last time or should i just clay and apply the MSS, BG, and Americana again. And of course strip the wax with some all purpose cleaner. Thanks Everyone!

Hey all, sorry if this question has been posted before. I'm a newbie when it comes to the PC. I'm getting my truck ready for a show on Saturday and I decided to use my PC on my truck. I am still not really sure if it is helping, but I already have the front clip done and figure I might as well finish it out. I usually just wash, clay bar, brilliant glaze, and 2 thin coats of Americana and call it good. From what I've read on the forums it's pretty hard to mess up your paint with with the PC, but I am still concerned about the Tonneau cover. It's a Ranch Sportlid. If anyone can help me out or offer me some advice I would greatly appreciate it. Once again I'm sorry if something like this has been posted before. Thanks.

I have really bad water where Iive, I can't wash anything without hard water spots. I usually go down to the car wash about a block from the house (they must have deionizer, cause it doesent spot when I go there) and wash my truck or whatever there, and then bring it back and detail it. The car wash is expensive and I'd hate to know how much I've spent over the years on car washes. I am also doing some details on the side, so I am kinda needing one. I was looking at the ones at Groits Garage and Costo. Anyone know about those?

I know where that's at. I was down there a few years ago for a tractor show.

I just used my WCW today for the first time and all I have to say is WOW! I did it at a car show in the sun. My truck very dusty, and it turned out perfect. I cleaned everything, windows, chrome, the whole truck. I got lots of compliments. It was a top twenty pick show and I placed. I WILL be buying more.

Hey whats up everyone? Just wanted to introduce myself, I've been lurking around the forums for quite a while now and finally decided to join. I've been detailing and doing car and truck shows for over 10 years now. I have two trucks, 05 Dodge Ram (my show truck) and a 06 F150 (my daily driver). I just recently ordered Adams Americana wax, Waterless Wash, and Detail spray. Ive pretty much always used Turtle Wax Carnuba wax, and I cant wait to see how the Americana turns out. I just need to get the time to put coat of it on. Anyways I'm rambling, I just wanted to say hi.
Looking for some advice on polishing an aluminum diamond plate toolbox.

Hello everyone, my dad has a Weatherguard Aluminum diamond plate tool box that has been sitting outside for probably 12 years. It’s in good shape other than it’s been out in the sun and the elements (snow, rain, ect.) for all that time. It looks like it has some oxidation on it. He wants to polish it up and have it looking like brand new. I was gonna go ahead and do it for him, but I’m not sure what to use on it. I’m not sure if I should got with a mother’s powerball and some metal polish or something else. I have a swirl killer 15mm, swirl killer mini, and porter cable various Adams pads and polishes if that helps, but I’d rather not chew up my good Adams pads on the diamond plate if I can help it. Thanks in advance!
