Here's mine, 65 Fastback Mustang on 68 Bronco chassis.
Powered by the Bronco 302 with 3 speed trans and 4:11 rear
Are you freakin kiddin me!!! That is ... by far ... the vehicle ... that I'd have kept for my entire life!!! If that was my 1st car, it would also be the last car, because I would never want to part with it. Don't get me wrong I understand the lack of practicallity, so there'd be others along the way, but this would be in the stable forever. VERY COOL .

By the time I got my license the Trans Am was already 9 yrs old so my parents let me drive it around. It still looked very nice, but it had a very tired motor which was a gutless 305 to begin with. So Dad, Uncle, and I swapped in a big block 455. After that swap the running joke was that if you floored it... the tach and the gas gauge would meet in the middle (lol). After funding a heavy footed new driver for awhile, Dad decided it was time to let the TA go.
First car I bought for myself was a (used) Mustang GT convertible with 80,000 miles. I kept it for 7 months, let Dad take over the payment book. He kept it for 8 months then sold it to my girlfriend. Last I heard her husband was restoring it. Funny part is that between my Dad and I we owned it for 15 MONTHS. She's owned it for 15 YEARS!!!

Say what you want about the books, movies, stars, or groupies ( )... but the TWIGHLIGHT SAGA soundtracks have some good songs on 'em!!

Every once in awhile ya gotta close your eyes and grab CD's you haven't listened to in awhile. Just to remind yourself that you bought them for a reason way back when. My latest grabs where Michael Bublé, Jack Johnson, Candlebox, and Kicking Harold.
The funny thing is the memories that come to you from the days you played "older" CD's. Fond memories

Remember, there's no need to nuke your problems when a couple of well placed 500 pound bombs will get the job done just as effectively, especially when you have to do the clean up.
soooo true!!! Again reiterating the "use the least aggressive means needed" mindset!!!

The Buttery Wax is yellow.... that doesn't go with the color matching pad??
I'm teasing! Please don't crucify me!!! Delete if you must, it's late and I'm a bit giggly

Good Lord that's a HUGE pic..... sorry.

My 1st ever vanity plate. Going on my 2005 Suzuki GSXR 1000. Used the K(s) as "thousand(s)".

I can vouch for the Machine Super Wax & the Americana for leaving a super slick finish. I used each on seperate cars the are daily drivers here in Michigan. With all the salt debris & 1 of the cars gets driven on dirt roads 4 days a week, both literally rinsed to a clean finish!! The woman who drives the dirt roads asked if I'd washed the car "that quick", had to tell her (with a chuckle) I was just getting started. 15 minutes later it was immaculant again.

Yea, I've been a click (or 2) under 5 each time I've gotten the PC out. Not enough practice with it yet to say I've gotten the technique mastered. Gotta walk before I run!
Curiosity & covering bases.

The composition of the backing plate adds to the weight of the backing plate and the counterweight is used to offset the distribution of that weight as the pad is spinning.
Thus, if you experience heavy vibrations at high speeds, you can either slow down the OPM's or go to a bigger weight. Since I don't like working at speeds higher than 5, either counterweight will work for me.
So a 6" counterweight will reduce the vibrations with the Adam's backing plate and pads? Is this something Nightmare R/T should consider switching to, since he had wrist pain from using the PC? And what about the 4" Focal Pads? Will they be alright with the 6" counterweight (just for the sake of not changing the weights repeatedly)?
Please don't make me write an essay to answer my own questions again J/K

Those new Rams are the cats pajamas! I can appreciate the Lexus, but the Ram stands out to me. Great job fellas, the long day was time well spent especially since there was 2 of you - must've been a site to see for all who passed by.

You get a gold star on your post!
Awww shucks! Thanks A.J.
Elementary as it was, occasionally I think something - then say (or write) it and realize it's either a rhetorical question or something that just needed to have the obvious reiterated.
BTW I think I could get a TON of street cred if I put that gold star comment in my sig line!!

My question may have come off more elementary than I intended. I simply meant to ask that if I polished again prior to second wax I would be removing the previous SMW wouldn't I? Even as minimally invasive as the FMP can be.

I feel like it's a game show. I can hear the JEOPARDY theme. LOL
Clay : 1) to remove the contaminants from the surface
2) time frame varies
A) as needed - easily determined by the "baggie test"
as a step in the correction process to prep the surface for polish & wax
Polish : 1) following the clay process
2) varying amounts of abrasive quality
2a) which polish is dictated by the level of degradation to the surface
3) to prepare the surface for wax
3a) by removing minimal amounts of clearcoat to bring the surface to as consistant a level as possible, thus increasing paint reflectivity

Ok so I did the Dawn wash, clay bar, FMP polish, SMW wax (on a brand new car). Next go around will be wash (car wash shampoo) then Buttery wax, Americana, or BSG? No clay or polish needed?

Figured I'd BUMP this for the season.

4 months old or not... I clicked to see what was discussed. But then again that's a noob for ya - just click on everything, all willy nilly, like I've never been on a forum before... LOL
