  1. Nice Ty! :2thumbs: Haven't seen you around lately.

Adam that is a sweet 59! Love those fins.:burnout:

Sharp, sharp, sharp - nice looking wheels!

Thanks guys, but as Lawson pointed out this car is no longer with us. My wife was heading to work last April and the car got totaled.

She is now driving a '99 35th Anniversary Mustang Convertible and we are in the market for a old classic Mustang Fastback.

  2. I am on craigslist every day, lol...

Actually, I already found "the deal"

A 1979 Camaro with 355/turbo 350 trans... perfect body, runs great, and comes with a a z28 hood, fenders, and full interior all as spares...

But after discussing it for a while, my wife turned it down

    :(

We are also in the process of remodeling our house, and she would rather focus time, energy, and money into our home to get it looking the way it should rather than getting another toy :willy:

So... I wil still be keeping my eyes open and if I happen to find that "once in a lifetime" deal, then I will buy something...

But this weekend, it looks like I will be painting the outside of the house rather than playing with any old cars :help::help::help:

  3. I washed my new WW towels the other day and am STILL disappointed in them. They are rougher to the touch than my white drying towels. NO WHERE near as soft as the original WW towel I got with my gallon.

It's the first thing I've really been disappointed in and I am not sure it's justified... hmm...

Good to know they work well for the leather cleaner...

    Chris

    I have used them twice...

I used one for my seats when I cleaned them and I love it... Worked awesome since it is a rough texture, I was able to scrub real good, and really work the product I was using.

The second time I used it was this past Saturday, my truck had just been washed prior in the week and was not dirty, but a sprinkler at work hit the truck and left water spots on the hood and side. So I used the WW & Towel to clean it off. It worked pretty good, but I noticed a lot of what I would call "micro-scratches" were left behind. Now I know the truck was clean and I was not very hard in rubbing the panels, so I don't know if I did something wrong or if the towel was to rough or what... I plan on taking the PC to it in the next week or two to buff it all back out.

The last time I used the WW before that I had my white waffle drying towel and it was just awesome!

Maybe there is a way to clean them, or soak them in something to soften them up?

  4. where did you get those are those seat covers or replacement covers for the originals

They are custom upholstered... Not "slips" or "covers"...... Hand stitched too I might add (Well, he has a little 1960's machine, but its still by hand, not computer)

  5. Sorry dude... Been so busy lately, I never posted it up... I had the picture saved, and the sig done in a photoshop format but then forgot about it...

    Here ya go

  6. What about an Iroc?

    haha IROCS are not cheap anymore......my 92 Z is $20,000 and up.....what exactly are you looking for a Z28 or a rallysport?and i recomend buying 1987 and up if your getting a 3rd gen!:2thumbs:

How about a fox body mustang, with a 5.0?

    Iroc's are sweet...

Fox body = no... that would be a toy for me :lolsmack:

Prices are not as bad as you guys think... You just have to search and find the right deal...

I bought our '81 El Camino for $1400... In running condition with the 355 rebuilt and everything else already in it... It just had problems running due to the carb and the owner not knowing how to properly tune one (not to mention it didn't have a choke :loser:)

I will never find another deal like that, but I think I can find something decent to start with for 2K

  7. Not the best pics, but a couple before/afters...

I have not given them the Adam's treatment yet... But they will get it this weekend!

I think they came out GREAT! The guy did a SUPERB job on cutting down the rear headrest to match the front buckets...

Just for FYI, the front seats are out of a 99 F-250, and the rear seats are both the rear passengers "40" seat out of a '03 supercrew F-150...

I finally have the setup that I want and it looks great. Also got the front console lid covered... And as soon as I get the woodwork on the rear sub box complete, it will be painted, and the top will get covered black to match.

Also on the back wall between the rear seats is going to be a 15" Embroidered FORD logo on a oval plaque!

    :glasses:

  8. Well... as most of you know we lost our '81 El Camino back in April... It was replaced with a '00 Grand Prix GT, which is a very nice "family" car for my wife to drive, but I want to surprise her this holiday season with a "new" old muscle car...

She really likes Dodge, and I like Ford.... So I think I want to get her another Chevy... :lolsmack:

Seriously though, Chevy is where its at, parts are abundant and inexpensive for me to work on something.

I don't think she could have another El Camino and be able to drive it... So with that, I am looking possibly towards a 70's - 80's Camaro maybe or something along those lines... A Chevelle or Nova would be awesome, but probably cost to much.

I want to keep under $2500, and it has to be a automatic... I am sure I can find something "decent" condition that I am able to instantly drive as I do a resto-mod...

    Any Ideas?

I hope to score another deal like we got on the El Camino when I first purchased it... What a STEAL it was...

  9. Here is a teaser...

The materials... black & gray with the perforation...

Pic taken with camera phone after getting the back seats in and driving down the road, LOL... excuse my big mug :lolsmack:

The guy also went ahead and put some black piping around the outside seam to clean it up and make it look even better :glasses:
