Wonder how it would work if you mixed the WW & DS 50/50?

Just got finished doing the F & R bumpers, top, halo, hood, and hatch. It's frigging UNREAL! My wife helped by removing the wax and she couldn't believe it. Especially the rear bumper!!
I'll try to get some pics tomorrow at a show we're doing!
Thanks Adam for another GREAT product!

My Americana should be delivered any minute! My question is: What about putting it on new paint? My painter said not to wax or seal for 6 to 12 months. Polish as much as needed which I have done. I heard others say 30 to 60 days. The car came out of the shop March 9th so it's been approx. 2 1/2 months. What's some of you guru's thought on this?
Would like to hear Adam's take on this, also!
Thanks!

Just got the go-ahead on the Americana from the body shop owner and the painter. I must have misunderstood on the 6+ months. They said since it was baked, 60 to 90 days. Now if the rain and humidity will cooperate, I can get it done. Will try to do some pics also! Get the :glasses:ready!!!!
Thanks!

I really need to apply Americana w/ Baron Von Awesomes cold water process... I've used ice water for paste before, but his methodical panel pattern seems like a much more efficient way to go about it.
Can someone explain the cold water thing?
Thanks!

Couldn't wait!! Tried a spot on the top and DANG!! Slick as owl dookie!
Would it be better to dampen to pad with detail spray?

Hmmm... wonder why he would say 6-12 months then. Are we dealing with a standard base coat/clear coat job here, not anything specialized? Do you know if the paint was baked at all?
It was Bc/cc, torch red, Spies Hecker, with extra clear. It was shot in a heated booth, not sure how long it baked.

90 days max... I've never heard of a paint job taking 12 months to setup.
Is it possible your painter just wanted you to leave the paint unprotected for a year, increasing the chances of damage, thus increasing his chances of repeat business??
No he wouldn't do that. Not that kind of person!

Adam,
I just got my 2000 Torch Red Vette back from the body shop so the paint is less than a month old. It looks fantastic but as always, we all want more! It wasn't an all over paint job but was blended on the majority of the panels. They buffed the entire car and did a great job and I want to complete it with some Adam's products. I know I shouldn't put wax on for a few months but I want to polish it. Looking at the video on page 1 of (New Gen2 Pad System Video is Here), is it OK to put pressure on new paint?

Kind of a change on this post but, J'Man what kind of floor mats are those, do they work good for holding stuff and will they go over the regular mats?
Thanks!

How would the Leather Conditioner work on a leather jacket? Would it make it softer?
Thanks!

By the way Dan, can you snap a photo of your contraption and post it here? Thanks for your input, and sorry to offend with my Anti-China stance.
It's something I firmly believe in, and at the risk of upsetting customers, I'll sleep better supporting our great country.
Adam,
No hard feelings here. I really agree with you 110% but, sometime you have to do what you have to do. Believe me, I know!!
I cannot get into my Photobucket acct. but will try to email you the pic in a few days.
Thanks!

3 words that Adam's Polishes avoids for a myriad of reasons: MADE IN CHINA!
Sorry to piss anyone off, I was just stating what I found that worked. I'm not proud it's from China but it does work. At least I gave you a discription to where you could get something made if you would like. Thought that was what forums were for, to help each other. I'll try to keep my thoughts to myself and just read the forum.
On the China thing, I doubt there's anyone that doesn't have something from there mainly because we can't find it here or it's too damn expensive here.
USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know this is a cheap way out but, I found a 2 pack of wheel brushes at Harbor Freight for nearly nothing. They are about 2 X 2 square by about 5 or 6" long with a 4 or 5 " handle. It's basicly foam wrapped in microfiber for one of them and the other is wrapped in like a bug sponge. I can clean all around the inside of the rear wheels and have to move the car to get where the front caliper is.
Works for me but, I may not be quite as picky as some people.
