  1. I wouldn't touch that with a PC I asked a similar question on another forum and you will need a direct drive buffer and a bunch of experience to not ruin the plexi glass the heat build up and hazing will be your biggest issue

Yeah that's kind of what I was afraid of. Figured I would try the focus pad system on a small corner. But might be thinking about just ordering one now.

  2. At work we have a display case for our camera lenses that over time has became incredibly swirled and hazy. My manager has given me the green light to try to polish it out. Just wondering if any of you have experience with polishing anything like this. I have a porter cable with all the Adams pads and polishes even the 3" pads.

Not looking for perfection because it obviously isn't going to happen. Just improvement. To order a new one of these tops is expensive.

    Thanks for any advice.

  3. Truck looks great. On tips for the hood make sure you are not using to much product. Also clean your pad often with either the pad brush or I use a clean cotton towel. The more saturated with spent clear and product the pad becomes the less effective the pad is.

What's your speed settings and how much pressure would you say your using?

Your doing a great job already maybe just a couple small tweaks to your technique could remedy your problem.

  4. If you went through apple store to order it i hope you got apple care. I work at best buy my roommate works in the geek squad. We have gotten in a handful of Airs and one of the retina units for repair. We swapped out the retina unit. Everything is soldered on even the ram. And from my understanding the hard drive is a proprietary 1.8 inch ssd. Where a standard laptop harddrive size is 2.5. You could imagine where repairs could become costly. Here in the ozarks we get a lot of storms and a lot of shocked machines come through the store. Hard drives go out often.

  5. Ford clear coat is not that hard. Always start with the tankard 2x2 section and go from there. Car fax is helpful but not always 100% accurate.

Dangit I meant to type clear I was talking to a friend about repainting his house when I wrote this haha.

Yeah grew up in a body shop so I know how the Carfax thing goes haha. That's my plans I just didn't know if I should plan on having the car 5 hours or 9 hours or whatever. Guess I will just find out tomorrow.

  6. Hey guys i'm correcting a friends 2003 cobra from what I can see and he can tell from the Carfax its factory paint. He bought it about a month ago. Its black forgot the name of the black they used.

My question is how hard is the paint if any of you have experience with this car? Its low miles I think like 65000 and from what I can tell garage kept before he bought it but the paint is pretty swirly and hazy. Should I be prepared to do a three stage polish or is it soft paint that I can hit it with a couple of passes with SHR on my PC. It will all be done with a PC no flex yet sadly.

I will take some pics for y'all to. Thanks
