  1. The 21 inch wheels are about a $4000 option, and I am not sure why. The mis-proportioning makes for some massive blind spots. The yellow would look nice with some stripes to break up the color some. We just got a black 2LT in today and I have to say I love it in that color, but it hides some of the body lines that I don't like. Had one of the GM reps. ask me if I liked the car and I said I don't really know. Needless to say he did not seem to happy at my response :).

  2. I took some pictures of two Camaros that we got into work that I was doing some work on. The red is a 1LT RS Camaro and the Yellow is 2LT Camaro. I put the 21 inch GM accessory wheels on the red one and took the 20 inch wheels from the RS and put them on the yellow one. Looks much better compared to the stock 19's with 245's on the front and rear, and the is no rubbing or any problems. We also have a 2SS and getting another one tommorow and another v6 model all for the car show saturday. These cars are fun to drive and really comfortable. Not the best pictures, but all I have at work to take pictures is my cell phone.

  3. Since the time to fully detail my truck again is coming soon, what is the best wax to use to get that deep glossy shine from my white truck. I currently use 3M Performance finish wax/sealant on my truck. I live in an area with a lot of steel mills and they are brutal on my paint finish, and the 3M last about 5 months. I am considering switching to something else, but I need something that can deliver the same durability over time. Would I be able to top the sealant with the buttery wax and get the shine I want? I am going to be getting a PC here soon and some other Adam's products, so I would like to be able to get everything on one order. Thanks in advance.

  4. I spray Lysol (whatever scent or brand as long as it kills mold) with the vehicle running and the HVAC on vent and on high(lower temperature on the knob about 70 degrees), also not on recirculate. I spray the Lysol through the vents on the wiper cowl to pull the Lysol into the vehicle through the HVAC system to kill the odor in the vents if there is any. After that the smell of the Lysol stays in the vents for a short time then after that it is a neutral smell. After that it is just the choice of air freshener. This works a lot better than paying a dealership for them doing the same thing (benefit of me working at a dealership).

  5. I have a AEW two way with remote start. They don't have an online site though. I have never had a problem with it going off at random times or not working at all. My old car I had a Prestige two alarm and never had any problems with it either. Both work great and have good warranties. Both of them had stronger two way remotes for if you accidentally drop it. I have had friends with a Viper 2 way and if they drop their remote once it would break. Both the AEW and the Prestige have really good range on them for the remotes. They both cost me about $400 installed might be a little less without the remote start.

  6. If you are trying to keep people from stealing the car than go with Ravelco http://www.ravelco.com If you are protecting things in the car go with a two way alarm so you know what is going on and install a piezo siren inside the car to deter people for staying inside because they are really loud. I have a 2 way system on my truck and had one on my car. I had $1300 worth of stereo equipment stolen, put an alarm in and a stereo again, and of course they tried again, a lot, but they never where able to get anything because I payed attention to my alarm. There is something that is a glass break microphone because it is possible to break glass without setting off the shock sensor, it is a good thing to have.

I wish I could have that engine in my truck. How is that engine compared to the 5.9 diesel or have you not driven one with the 5.9. Since you aren't going to remove the side moldings are you going to paint match them one the vehicle, I have seen it done and it comes out looking great. Here is an example just a different color. I have the link for the "how to" if you interested when warmer weather hits.
