  1. Ok. I give. How do I get the mobile version? I just got a new Kindle...

I think you want to click the "Use Mobile Version" link that is to the left of the "Change Theme" link.

post-4398-0-18417600-1385833156_thumb.png This is from the Chrome browser on an Android device. Make sure that your browser is requesting mobile vs desktop view as well.

I didn't like that they got rid of Tapatalk initially. However, like all of their products, the mobile version is very well done!

I tip my hat to the developers on this one.

  2. I haven't been on the forums in months and look at what I am welcomed back to. I've gotta get some of this for sure!

I loved how MSS filed in surface damage without leaving a white crusty residue (not all clients want to pay to have their paint corrected :-/ ).

No need to worry about having leftover MSS to use. I just apply it early in the detailing then go on to the interior or another vehicle while it cured.

Wow! I'm still typing. Time to load up the Adam's shopping cart.

  3. Very nice job. How long did it take with a PC? I have one but will be getting my Flex tomorrow.

    Thanks!

It took at least an hour for all 3 stages & sealant. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on a FLEX this weekend.

  4. Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted some of my work here. Between being a one man operation (so far), posting on my website and Facebook it gets to be a bit time consuming.

Anyway, a friend of mine finally had time to bring his LS430 to me. His hood was just a tad bit oxidized :help:. I didn't do a full corrective detail as the vehicle was not in bad shape (to professionals like us - there's always a need ;)). I did do a full interior detail using all of the traditional Adam's interior goodies. Sorry, but we did not have time for picture taking :(.

For the exterior I did my usual Wash Detail, clayed the hood, used SSR, SHR, FMP (I absolutely love seeing this step in action!) and finished with MSS. All polishing was done with a PC (I need a FLEX this year).

    Enjoy!

    Oh the ugliness

    Close up ugliness, after claying

This picture was sent to me by my client as he didn't have time the day of correction

The 50/50. I love how the charcoal gray captures the sky and looks blueish.

  5. Wow! Thanks Randy & Adam! I will be jumping on this opportunity soon. Yes, welcome Randy. This just proves how Adam's keeps raising the bar. More reason for me to put an order together soon :D

  6. On topic: the GW is THE BEST drying MF (microfiber, not the other MF word...but that word would still fit accurately...LOL!) I've ever used! Yes, the price is rather high BUT the quality & value exceed it's price. I've never been more pissed snagging a towel like I get with the GW :explode:. Like someone else said, I can't afford to go cheap. My clients satisfaction with their huge smiles of amazement, sometimes huge $$$ tips and my company's growing reputation won't allow me to waste money on lower priced lower quality products. I make no apologies for that. Take you ride to the guy in the corner parking lot using Windex on you S550 hood with the same Wal-Mart MF he just used on the 364 day rain-washed Corolla minutes before you (yes, I've actually witnessed this). SMH

    Thanks Adam's! :patriot:

EDIT: Somewhere in the was suppose to be the OFF TOPIC label

  7. Oh I understood it. I developed my entire website from the food /ground up. I even made a few tweaks to my mobile theme as well. I have no intentions of supporting Tapatalk. It's always better direct without the middle man/3rd party connections. I've just gotten so used to accessing the Adams forums with Tapatalk & would miss it. Either way Adams is still tops in my book.

  8. Great topic. The business that I created, Integrity Detailing, LLC is me doing work that I love. I haven't always had the fastest car in my neighborhood but I've always had the cleanest. Right now my company is a one man show...me. That's not good for business because if I don't work I don't get paid. I do mechanic work on the side as well as some IT contracts. I've had a pretty good first year of business for doing this by myself. One of my goals is to create jobs through this company. I love detailing. I think I have a bit of OCD when it comes to this. However, I want to grow my business to the point that I don't have to do the grunt work personally in order to earn income. I'd like to be able to select specifically which client vehicles I'd like to show my skills on and just be the behind the scene brains of the operation. For me, that's a good business.

So, yes, I'm doing what I'm passionate about & what I love to do.
