  1. Sorry to hear that Dave, and thats certainly unusual... we have sold these to many people and some I know tip the scales at 250 or better without hearing something like this. I've even used mine as a makeshift dolly around my garage before, loading it down with more than 250lbs and it never 'bent'.

Did any of the bracing or trusses underneath break (or are broken)?

In the end you made this statement:

As you may or maynot be aware we offer a 110% money back satisfaction guarantee... if you are indeed disappointed give our customer service a call at 866-965-0400 or email us (orders@adamspolishes.com) and we can arrange for a return and refund of 110% of your purchase.

Hi Dylan. I checked the bottom and no nothing is cracked. I figure Rich is right and the hot summer day may have helped it to bend like it did. I tried a fix idea, I hung it from hooks in the garage for awhile and now the bend is a lot less, to the point I don't see light between the seat pad and the top any more. I guess if I hang it up between uses it could be ok. After reading Jims post about the HDPE haveing recycled stuff in it replacing the top is probably a waste of time.

I didn't buy the cart from you, but from a dealer of yours who was selling them at Moparfest this summer, a local car show. This dealer is a far drive away so it's isn't worth it to take it back to him when a replacement would probably do the same thing. Thanx for the refund offer anyway. The cart is really useful and I suppose if I sit near the side more directly over the posts it won't bend as much.

  2. That's a great question actually, and as Chris said, 325lbs is the rating on the seat. I've bounced on it with my 210lb behind, and no problem...

Just thought I'd post an update here that my Rolling Detail Seat was bowed after the first use. I'm around 250 lbs and when I sat right in the center it bowed quite noticably and to this date still is bent. (after perhaps 2 months of waiting to see if bowing straightened itself out)

Rather disappointed in this as it seemed to be made of fairly rigid plastic. I find now I can only sit right on one end and hope it doesn't tip over.

I recommend anyone who is a big guy think twice before buying this. Perhaps I got a defective one, who knows? First time I've been disappointed with an Adams product.

  3. That seat is a pretty nice tool to have.

We will be at Corvettes at Carlisle. If you wanted to coordinate it, we could probably add one just for you. I would talk to Lynn or Ashley about perhaps paying for it the week before, but us delivering at the show for ya.

Ah thanx but I'll be at the LX And Beyond show, I'll check some retailers on the trip there to see if I get lucky. The rest I can order from Show and Shine.

  4. Sure I've ordered off him once, good online store but last time I looked he didn't have the rolling cart but I can get the liquid stuff and towels there anyway. I may just have to bite the bullet and get the cart from your online store and use the birthday code to help offset the shipping costs. That's what I was really hoping to get at Carlisle. I got your Complete Porter Cable kit there last year along with a couple of your buckets and saved some good money doing so over ordering online.

  5. We just can't be everywhere all the time. Tough choices were made this year to be at the shows we are at. It costs a LOT of money to get to and successfully do a show. Travel, Lodging, all that for the team, plus shipping product, etc.

Last weekend we were at a Camaro Superfest in Yesplaintis, MI. I know I spelled that poorly.

Fair enough, I was just looking forward to grabbing some stuff, like the rolling Detail cart, more microfibres and some gallon jugs, bulky stuff. Shipping costs to Canada make ordering online a poor 2nd choice.

I'll be at the LX and Beyond show in Ohio in a couple of weeks are there any retail vendors nearby you could recommend where I could pick up that stuff? I'm not super familiar with US Auto Products stores.

  6. The white one in the pic looks like it'd hurt my back to push around and I'd end up knocking everything off.

Plus, you need to get that car cover off the floor and clean it before putting it on the car!

Actually it rolls easily as there's not that much weight on it, the heavy stuff stays on the fixed shelves. But I do like the idea of a padded seat on wheels with a shelf underneath, beats the little step stool I squat on now to get down low.

And yeah the cover had just been removed from a bag it was stored in. It'll be vacuumed before I use it. The central vac canister has a outlet for a car cleaning kit and hose so that won't be a problem.

  7. What's that crap on the bottom shelf??!!

Some leftover products I've had around last couple of years, I still try to use them up on my winter car or wifeys car. After driving a beater truck for 16 years I bought a 2007 G5 and wanted to take care of it, but the most available 'name brand' products in this part of Canada are Mothers, Meguiars or Turtle Wax. I did want to protect my new car so I had to use something eh?

Adams products are non-existent in retail stores around here. A friend introduced me to the products she got at the Carlisle PA Mopar show in 2010 (that I missed due to illness) and she found a online Canadian distributor too, who I recently ordered some gallon jugs from. Beats paying Brokerage Fees having stuff shipped over the Border, UPS will kill you that way. We both use/share Adams stuff a lot, she has stuff I don't have yet and vice versa.

I won't say the other stuff is crap, but I do prefer the results I get from the Adams 4 step system using the PC. The other stuff will be used up in time and replaced with Adams stuff, I'm not going to just throw it out, it cost too much. ;) Next spring I'll have a go at my winter G5 with the PC and see if I can restore the once brilliant metallic blue paint.
