  1. I would love to have a Cummins Turbo Diesel. I have driven two different ones, but the best one was the one that I had to reinstall a propane injection kit on. Geared for towing also, but still absolutely insane when the propane kicked in. Those trucks with exhaust and the turbo spooling up makes me really happy. You aren't going to give up that nice GMC for one are you?

Not planning that. I just got it in August. Although I have been told GMC stands for "Got a Mechanic Coming", so you never know. I can't help but notice that a lot of mechanics drive GM products. I can't tell if it is because they are easy to work on, as you said before, or if they are happy with them because all the repair work pays for their kids college.

  2. I just switched to "The General" and have enjoyed it. I did get to drive my first Cummins Turbo Diesel - with a chip - but geared totally for towing over the Thanksgiving Holiday. That truck made me shed a tear. 140,000 miles on it, but you could tell by hovering your right foot over the pedal that it was a bad boy! The sound of that turbo gave me even more to be thankful for.

  3. Actually, from a nerdy, scientific standpoint....red and orange dash lights give you better night vision..Or should I say don't disturb your night vision as much. I am a light fanatic...although, it wouldn't affect my choice in buying a vehicle. I mean, if a Vette, Ferrari or Porsche has rainbow lights and I have the money.....I am buying the car.

This is my first day on the postings and I have noticed some BEAUTIFUL vettes!

  4. Beautiful Dobie!

I would LOVE to have one! My chihuahua is earlier in the post....I married into him. He has dobie markings and he is one mean sucker....he DOES draw blood! My little guy has gone nose to nose with a Pit Bull.....chain link in between the two thank goodness! He doesn't realize that he is tiny and will NOT back down...period. Even when he would be considered "LUNCH".

No kidding though, that dobie is amazing!

  5. I am sure that each one of you can relate to washing your car at midnight when the weather is below freezing...your hands feel like they are going to fall off. Even better.....the water coming out of the hose feels good because it is warmer than the surrounding air!

I have had a history of renters that live next door to me and they all use the same joke...."You are gonna wash the paint off that thing!" They don't make fun of me though when I pull out of my driveway and they can see their car in the reflection on the finish of my truck!

  6. Still working on getting stuff figured out. This is the first forum I have ever been a part of. I just figured out what an avatar is.......

Here's my truck taken this evening. I just travelled from Oklahoma City, OK to Amarillo, TX to see family. She is still RELATIVELY clean!

  7. I am just a boring banker! Our exciting times are when the "Boys in Blue" show up. I really appreciate the job that you all do everyday. It has to be tough....sorry to double up on the comments, but oh well.

Had to edit for a picture of the truck! I just drove her 250 miles from Oklahoma City to Amarillo....she is still relatively clean!
