  1. Hello All-

I will be at the following shows in November. If you plan on going and you need product, please call or email me in advance so I can set your request aside. My email is marc@elitedetailandperformance.com and my cell is 239-233-6609.

Sunday, November 1-Vettetogether (hosted by Corvettes of Naples benefiting The Gabriel House), Riverview Corporate Center (located on 41 on the west side just north of the Imperial River Bridge)

Sunday, November 8-Majestic Golf Club Car & Truck Show - Lehigh Acres

Saturday, November 14-Victory Layne Open Car & Truck Show (hosted by Southwest Florida Corvette Club benefiting Harry Chafin Food Bank) - Ft. Myers

    Hope to see you there!

  2. Thanks for the compliments everyone. That chopper is my neighbor's and he is a really good guy. Yes, liability was a big issue as far as dressing the tires. If it was strictly a show bike, then they would have been dressed. The owner is a really cool guy that has and uses his toys.

If you get a chance, check out my Facebook page (type Elite Detail and Performance in the search box) and I posted some pics of his custom 800hp 55 Chevy I detailed with, of course, Adam's Products. I did the paint and the interior of the car one day (front seats and dash only. Being 6'3" tall, it's a little hard to get in the back with the roll cage) and the motor about a week later when he came back in town.

He also owns a 60-something Harley that was detailed as well. I will post some pics when I can take them. We are trying to coordinate a "group" picture with the 55, the chopper and the Harley, as well as my other neighbor's chopper detailed with Adam's by the water. Can't wait to see that picture!

  3. If you are in the Ft. Myers/Cape Coral/Naples/Punta Gorda areas, Elite Detail and Performance will be at 10 car shows between now and the end of February. For more info, go to http://www.elitedetailandperformance.com. Click on the Adam's logo, then click on the "News" tab for a complete up to date schedule and will be updated when shows are added to the schedule. If you need any info on the shows, feel free to email me and I can put you in touch with the correct people.

If you Facebook, type Elite Detail and Performance in the search box and in the lower left hand corner of the home page click on the calendar for a schedule. If you would like to become a fan, please do so and any updates will also post on your wall and will keep you up to date.

I have also posted a schedule on the Adam's Forum in the Southern Region section.

The next show on the schedule is Spooktacular Vette & Chevy Show at Roger Dean Chevrolet in Cape Coral at the intersection of Pine Island and Santa Barbara from 9-3 next Saturday October 10th. If you are there, stop by and say hello and introduce yourself. We hope to see you there!

  4. Hey Ty-

I have posted the show schedule on Facebook and on my website. As more shows come available, I will be updating them both.

Type in Elite Detail and Performance in the search box on Facebook or go to http://www.elitedetailandperformance.com and click on the Adam's logo, then click on the "News" tab at the top of every page.

There are 9 shows I am currently signed up for and am awaiting confirmation on a few more. The show at Jack's Paint and Body is supposed to be a big one. I was told in the neighborhood of 300-400 cars. I will be there and have a tent set up. Ashley is sending me an Adam's Balloon so look for that. The show at Geo's on January 3rd in Cape Coral is supposed to be a big one, too. Just going by what I have been told by the event coordinators.

  6. First off :welcome: !

Adam's products are the best products I have ever used. I used to work in a car dealer in the service department and that's where all of the vendors go saying their product is the best and to give it a shot. Some products were good and some were bad. My boss always asked me to look at cars after they were done because they know I am picky about my cars and how they look. I have been exposed to more products than most ever will be in their lifetime. I heard about Adam's through Alex on the Corvette Forum. I have a black C5 just like him and I saw a picture of his car. While my car always looked great, I knew it could look better. After seeing his car, I had to give it a try. I started out with the basics and was truly amazed with the results. I then called and ordered the rest of their line. The next thing I knew, everything in my garage was Adam's. I boxed up the stuff I had left from previous lines and gave over $1000 worth of supplies to a guy at work.

Adam's products are the best products you will ever use. They are extremely affordable and made in the USA! Their customer service is second to none and the forum is a wealth of knowledge that can't be found elsewhere. How many car care companies have their own forum? Not to many that I know of.

One important factor was the smell. None of their products have an offensive odor that will clear your sinuses. The Detail Spray smells like bubble gum, the Leather and Dash Conditioner smells like leather and the All Purpose Cleaner smells like lemon lime. Ever since I switched to Adam's, I have never had to take a break because the smell of all the different chemicals was getting to me. That allows me to get done quicker, with better results and spend time with my family.

Also, the use of their products isn't limited to auto and boat use. I use the Leather and Dash Conditioner on my leather shoes, leather ottoman, leather belts, and my leather messenger bag. I use the Detail spray to wipe down my laptop and have used the Metal Polish 1&2 on my stainless steel grill. My wife has hijacked the Glass Cleaner and All Purpose Cleaner to use around the house.

I can keep going on, but to sum it up....if I didn't love the products and wasn't truly amazed with the results, I wouldn't have become an Adam's Dealer!

Good luck with your decision, but you can't go wrong with Adam's!

    Marc

  7. Having worked at a dealership, I know most detail departments simply pull off the protective shipping tape or cover, wash the car and vaccum it and apply a thin coat of wax and slap on some tire goop. One dealership I worked at had two of the best detailers I have seen and they took a lot of pride in their work. They really cleaned the car initially and made sure it was perfect and did the same at delivery. Two class act guys. They are the exception to the rule.

However, whenever I get a new car, I wash it thoroughly the next day. I wait about 90 days and clay bar the car, go over it with Swirl and Haze Remover, Revive Polish and Buttery Wax. My wife thinks I am nuts, but when I was done with her car, she was happy.

One thing to understand is you don't know and no one will tell you how long the car sat before being shipped, sat after being received at the dealer before prep and then how long it sat on the lot.

You just got a new car. You will have it for the near future. Why not take the time and make it look good from day one? When cars sit at the port or what not, they are sitting there and ignored. No one goes around and washes them every week or two. They come off a truck or boat, sit in the elements for who knows how long, then off to the dealer, again to sit for who knows how long.

One other thing to think about is your paint warranty. This also allows you to catch anything the day after delivery. It is easier to make the dealer pay for a little chip, scratch or ding just after picking it up versus even a week. If you have something in the paint and after a year or two, it has become so bad the manufacturer will deny any claims and fall back on the neglect side of it. Manufacturers like VW, Volvo, Audi and Porsche take a lot of pride in their paint work and have high customer service levels and they may be willing to help out. Why run the risk, though.

Simply put...inspect the car the day after with a good wash. Clay, polish and wax 90 days later. Save the potential headache.

    My 2 cents.

  8. I was working with this guy and he didn't have a lot of money and a family to support. He detailed friends cars on the weekends for some extra cash. He worked really hard for me and is a genuinely nice guy. I ended up giving him a bunch of different stuff from microfiber towels, Meguiar's, Mother's, etc. I ended up giving it all to him. The look on his face was worth it because there was a lot of money in that giant box he didn't have to spend. He knew it wasn't an act of charity, but one friend helping another.

  9. I currently work as a Service Advisor at a Volkswagen Dealership. I used to be a golf pro and started to hate playing so I got out of the golf business and into the car business. Once I got out of the golf business, I loved playing again. I served in the Marine Corps and was satationed in Southern California. Did my time over seas in the Gulf.

I recently started up my own business selling Adam's products as well as Amsoil products. The name of my company is Elite Detail and Performance. I detail cars on the side trying to make some cash to put into the business. Due to the economy and it's current status, I am taking it slow and letting it grow by word of mouth and I hope to have my website up by next summer.

I am married and have a 9 month old son. Hopefully my business will grow and he will work with me.

If I can be of any help to any of you, please don't hesitate to reach me!

  10. Congratulations on the new wheels! Adding chrome C6 wheels to my C5 is one of my favorite mods.

To clean then you'll want the right products to prevent damage and maintain shine.

Two scenarios I'l walk you through:

    1. Heavy cleaning needed

    • Always clean your chrome while it's cool to the touch!
    • Start with washing with a pH safe soap like our Car Wash Soap (helps protect finish)
    • While wet spray down with our All Purpose Cleaner and scrub with a Boar's Hair brush
    • Rinse with cool water
    • Dry quickly with an air compressor, a wet/dry shop vac or our Detail Spray and our Microfiber Drying Towel (to prevent water spots)

Give your chrome an unbelievable shine with our Brilliant Spray Glaze.

    To apply:

    • Shake your Brilliant Spray Glaze as much as possible and make the first spritz into a trash can to clean out the nozzle.
    • Spray the Brilliant Spray Glaze on a microfiber applicator pad and apply it much like a coat of wax.
    • Coat the entire surface of the wheel and let it dry to a haze.
    • Wipe off with a microfiber towel and stand back - enjoy!

    2. General upkeep (when scrubbing isn't required)

    • If your wheel is just lightly dusty and you don't see any brake dust or road grime build up you'll just need to spray liberally with our Detail Spray and dry with our Super Plush Microfiber towel.
    • Apply a coat of Brilliant Spray Glaze to keep the shine perfect!
    • Don't use cotton or just simply water - you'll want a performance lubricant to help lift the brake dust off the surface before the towel contacts the surface.
