  1. Yeah I actually bought the PC before I found you guys so unfortunatly couldn't order from you guys. I'm not trying to bash the PC at all but I was just a little disappointed it failed on me. With that being said I did love it when it was working. I'm new to all this which is why I wanted to stay away from an orbital polisher for fear of burning through the clear.

It is the XP so it's good to know the warranty is 3 years. I live in Torrance and herd from a tool repair shop I can take it to the dewalt warranty facility in Anaheim and they will warranty it. Is it true that dewalt owns porter cable or visa versa?

  2. Yeah that pretty much my thoughts as well. I've kinda given up on trying to convince him about it but when I go over to wax his car I feel so bad cause it could be so much nicer if he just listened. I'm hoping if I print this out with everyone saying it won't that maybe he will rethink claying.

  3. Yeah I thought it may be that to so I started jiggling things pulling cords in and out and such an no luck. I plugged the tool directly into the wall outlet and it's started right up then died again and it hasn't turned on since I tried that. Do the brushes err get stuck real bad on these things? I checked them and they had a lot left on them obviously but I didn't try to move them at all for fear of voiding any warranty.

  4. So I've been super happy with my PC since I purchased it. It's been great to me the few time I used it to wax my huge truck. I've used it maybe three or four times total and I finally got my polishing pads. Was super stoked I try them out. My buddy asked if I could fully detail his car for when they sell it so I was stoked to get the practice and see what I could do. It's my first time polishing. Well I went to go use it and my PC started having a fit. It spun up, I apples the polish and when I went to up the speed on turn it on again and applied just a little pressure it stop. I was like oh maybe I'm pushing to hard and so I let up it started back up so I was like oh ok cool but then it started having a fit turning on and off and on and off and then it just stopped workin all together. I've had it maybe 9 months. Have you guys experienced this same thing?

I'm a little upset that when I need it it wasn't there for me

  5. So lately I've been getting a lot of people saying that clay baring a car removes clear coat and I tell them it doesnt but they don't believe me so I figured I'd come on here and maybe get a definate answer from the guys who do this all the time. I read te sticky and it didn't say anything definate about this subject. I really want something that maybe I can print out to show people the truth even if it does which from what I've read it doesn't.......or does it?

My friend told me that he didn't want to clay bar his new car cause it'll ruin his pain. I was like......did it get trucked in? And he said yes. I was like ten you should feel the paint after a good wash and I bet you it needs it. He said it did feel ruff but refuses to clay bar it because his dad who's an auto mechanic said that it'll ruin his nice black paint.
