I've worked on a few Vetts and BMW's with the PC. The paint wasn't perfect to me and I know I could've done more, but the customers were very happy. I would try the 4" focus pads on it and see what you end up with. Good luck.

4" focus pads on the PC or drill?

Also try backing your speed down a little... 6 isn't always necessary... if you notice artifacts after working it may be the speed is too high for your particular paint. Try speed 5 instead.
I'll try that as well
(loving your fast reply )

Theres your problem right there.... WAY over working the products. A pass shouldn't take 2-3 minutes if you're working 1 panel at speed 6. The products simply don't have that long of a work time.
this was after I attempted to correct the paint with less than 2-3 minutes per pass for three times. I didn't see any difference so I applied as much pressure and went very thorough until it was "flashing" on my 4th time for 2-3 minutes. I should have been more clear.
I'll have it another go but with less time. I'm definitely not over applying (using 2 pea sized drops like junkman did) I'll come back with some pictures if I can.

I'm having a similar issue on my black lotus. It's not as bad as the vette's picture, but I can't seem to get the scratches out that I CAN'T feel on my fingernails. I've stripped everything and watched the tutorial videos more than 11 times to make sure I'm using the same technique.
I am, however, using a porter cable. Despite this, I've gone over it 4 times (about 2-3 minutes each pass with the pad; setting 6) and still not impressed with the results of the 3 step system.

The same thing happened to me with only one of my pads (the white one) and a very nice local dealer happened to replace it for free for me. Maybe someone can help you out.
Thanks for the heads up.
Adam??? haha I just happened to order 4" focus pad kit and extra sets of towels too

I figured out the white pad problem.... upon inspection, the pad was torn around the velcro. It's weird since the other 2 pads are fine and I used the same techniques for all three pads. Maybe I got a defect?

I am having the same problem on my lotus. I purchased the vehicle from an owner who didn't have a damn garage.... *face palm* It needed so much correction that I went to Adam's Detail and purchased over $800 worth of product.
I found a porter cable laying around at home so I went over it 3 times with each polish (sshr, shr, and fmp). Mine still has a lot of scratches (not too deep since I couldn't feel it on my finger nails) and I watched the videos over and over to make sure my technique was correct. The car does look a lot shinier and looks great until I put the light on it and still see some of the scratches left.
I think the first half of the car I was applying too much stuff, so I cut it down to one or two pea sized drops. It seemed to work a little better, but scratches would not disappear. I used 3 to spread it and 6 for the polishing.
One thing that I have a question is that the white pad seemed to be "shedding" bits and pieces like dust. Maybe it's the polish dusting, but when I looked at it closely it kind of looked like bits and pieces of foam lol. Is this normal?
I might try to wash the pads off and go over it again very slowly with a ton of pressure... or might just pick up a flex.
Edit: Just bought a flex lol

hmm okay. I know that the video says that they don't recommend covering the whole car with 4" drill, but I do have the focus pads on the way.
I got burnt out after 3 days of detailing so I just decided to seal it up and put glaze and wax for now. In about 2 months or so I'll strip everything down and have at it again.
