  1. Luke: Never "Think" when you place an order for products. Just purchase every product as money will allow you. When you see the "Daily Special," don't think about it, just order it. :D

As the 'ol saying goes about death and a funeral ~ you can't take it with you. Wanna bet. I'm having a private cremation and the actual funeral, with a closed casket, will be stuffed with every Adam's product they can get in it.

    lol

BTW watching the 2012 update video here on Adams about polishing with the PC was very helpful. I'm feeling more confidant/comfortable with the whole process.

  2. Hey Everyone

I'm going to use the PC for the first time in a week or two to polish my whole car after a good clay detail. What are some tips I should know about for polishing? Should I tape off sections at a time to polish? I watched Volume 7 of the Adams DVD, but it was pretty broad. Any help you guys can give a new guy are greatly appreciated! :)

  3. I ordered a kit that includes the 4" Focus Pads. If I plan on doing the whole car should I think about getting bigger pads. Its a Z so its not a big car at all, but I am not sure if a 6" pad or something else would be better... Also have heard some talk about counterweights with the PC. Not sure how much that matters... any links to PC specific tutorials? Thanks in advance :)

  4. The MSS is a great product to apply to a vehicle especially if it is a Daily Driver. And yes you can use the same black pad to apply Buttery after you wash it, but make sure its dry. Buttery is also so easy to apply and remove by hand.

That's such a true statement. My last car was a black Nissan Altima and it was so tough keeping that car looking sharp all the time.. That was also before I was serious about detailing though ;)

Thanks for the confirmation. I just got done ordering all the polishing goodies :) I'm pretty nervous since I've never even touched a PC. I will definitely review all the 'how to' videos before I complete the detail in the coming weeks. :xfingers:

  5. Thanks Everyone!

Would you all recommend getting the machine super sealant pad and paste? I'm about to order a polishing kit and was wondering if the sealant is worth it for me. Any kit/combo recommendations are welcome :) This is my everyday driver by the way. Also, can I use that same black pad to apply wax (Adam's buttery) as long as I clean the pad after I apply the sealant (and wait 12 hours)?

    Thanks again everyone!

  6. So I'm going to be doing a minor detail on my 370Z soon. I got it a couple months ago but it was a new 2011 when I bought it so I'm sure it was on the lot for awhile :/ I need to stock up on some supplies and wanted to get your opinions on my process. So far its:

    1) 2 Bucket Wash (Adams Car Shampoo/Microfiber/electric Leaf Blower)

    2) Baggie Test + Clay Bar

    3) Wash/Rinse?

    3) Fine Polish with PC (want to start with fine polish since paint is relatively new and I have never used PC)

    4) Wax

    I have a few questions:

    1) Is it necessary to use dawn after my 2 bucket wash to strip the wax before polish and re-wax?

    2) If I were to use SHR and then Fine Polish do you want to do the entire car with 1 then switch or work in sections using both?

    Thanks!

  7. Hello Everyone!

A little bit about myself. I purchased my 370z a couple months ago. I was browsing the 370z forum and came across the Junkman. Watched his videos and inevitably ended up here. Ordered the car wash trio and I really like the Adams products. I want to get more advanced in my car detailing and figured this would be a good community to be a part of!
